ATTN: MR. KAMAL GRANT! I've had yet an additional bad customer service experience. The doughnuts have been absolutely great over the years that I have been a customer at this particular branch. However, I stopped by on July 3, 2023 AM to pick up two doughnuts. Your employee immediately went to the case and was reaching for a bag. I then requested for them to be put inside of a box. The male that was counting money said that I would have to purchase 3 doughnuts for them to be put into a box. The issue that I have with this policy is that YOUR boxes are costing the establishment too much money if 2 doughnuts cannot be placed inside of the "sublime" boxes. I did not want 3 doughnuts and your branch lost money because I walked out of the DEAL. Please purchase containers if your boxes have a minimum number of items that can go into them. This is tacky and cheap and it wasn't worth money walking out of your door. At least the guy could have said I'll do it this time but he just let me walk. I'll try to support this business once more. BUT if customer service is a 1-star again I will not be returning. Also I think from a customer stand point that you should have points of contact outside of the locations when there may be issues within a certain branch. I have attached the old review so that you can see I've had two bad customer service experiences. Read through other reviews about this location and poor customer service seems to be very common. The owner has to fix this and provide feedback on the receipts. Then again the owner may not care…who knows!
(11/2022)Hopefully the owner of Sublime Donuts at the Druid Hills location will read this review. Cashier Shaosha rates a zero from the last two times that I have encountered her within the establishment. My first encounter she was behind the register counting change and when she decided to stop she then proceeded to walk toward the donuts case and ask about my order. Unfortunately, I suggested that she "WASH" her hands since she was headed to the donut case. This should have been a no brainer for her especially after touching dirty coins. This past Saturday I encountered her poor customer service again. During this visit I had to wait until she finished writing on two donut boxes. She then proceeded to peck on the cash register machine for approximately 5 minutes while I stood there waiting for her. She then decided to say "let me know when you are ready." This chick never looked up during the entire time of writing on donut boxes and screen pecking to even asked what I wanted to order. Folks like this are only interested in a check. Sublime Donuts does not deserve to lose paying customers for an employee such as SHAOSHA who does not care about them. Clearly either she doesn't like her job or feels that she is not paid enough. Either way SHAOSHA might need to find her happiness outside...
Read moreDo you know how sometimes we fall out of love with situations, circumstances, people, and places? Well, that sums up the feeling of this once glorious donut shop. It feels like the love is gone. When I walked up to the shop door through the windows, I could see the open sign wasn't on, and I saw plastic bags over the tables and dim light if any. I thought maybe the shop was closed for the day or something, but I checked the door (as we all do), hoping against appearance that it was open, and it was. I should have turned away at those red flags, but I just remembered how good the donuts are here, and this is out of the way for me, so I continued on my quest. After looking the place over, it didn't feel like it used to, but I figured that perhaps this was the result of the morning rush and continued with the quest for goodness. An associate appeared from the back looking bothered and annoyed and, without a hello, went straight to the point, "how can I help you?" I didn't take it personally because once again, I figured this is mid-day she probably is wishing she was anywhere but here right now, so I ask "How you doing?" with no response, so I gingerly place my order for an assorted dozen. I got six raspberry-filled (powdered), two red velvet, three cream cheese, and 1 Reese's cup. It is worth mentioning that with the heart-shaped donuts, only two were truly heart-shaped while the others struggled a bit, but I thought, who cares what they look like so long as they taste the same...good. That's another red flag I should've considered more carefully. Anyway, I paid for the donuts and tip for service and left being the only one between the two of us to say thank you. The bottom line is that these donuts were stale. They had a crisp to them when they were typically soft and pillow-like. The taste and quality just weren't there. I was so disappointed. Sadly, I won't be wasting the trip, money, or time supporting Sublime again until I know they care again. Here's hoping that others find it more...
Read moreWent in to this location at ~1230 am on August 10th. I was on my way in from an event and we happened to pass it before getting to the interstate and decided to stop in. There was a customer in front of us and as we were trying to figure out which donuts we wanted a noticed there were gnats in the donut case. Yes gnats. I didn't see them anywhere in the location with the exception of the glass case in the front so I informed the cashier and ask that my donuts be selected from the fresh batches in the back. The cashier was super nice and accommodating to my request. However, a women who I presumed is the "manager", would not allow him to fulfil my order from the fresh donuts in the back. In fact, she told him that it was store policy to serve the customer the donuts in the case first and to only select from the back when the donut was no longer available in the front. Embarrassed and annoyed by his "managers" position, the cashier came back with 2 of the 6 donuts I requested and offered them for free because of the inconvenience. I thanked him for his customer service and emphasized that they should not be serving donuts that gnats had been resting on.
As soon as we left the location, we hadn't even started the car before the "manager" came to the front and started to try and get the gnats out of the case. In an ideal world, I'd hope they would have removed all the current donuts, thrown them away, cleaned the case and then put fresh ones in there. In reality, I know they likely removed the gnats they could see and then sold the tainted donuts to the next unsuspecting customers for the remainder of the early morning hours. Just disgusting. My last time at this location. The biggest sweet tooth in the world couldn't get me to stop for contaminated donuts and poor customer service (from the "manager" not the cashier). If you choose to visit this location, please keep your eyes focused on what's happening in the case...not just the...
