Taqueria Michoacan — Restaurant in Brookhaven

We went to eat with my family and everything seemed ok, until we saw a sign that said that their waitresses/waiters work for their tip. We were confused a bit by it so we asked our waitress and she said they don’t get paid the base hourly rate. Their only source of income is tips. ONLY TIPS. The owners don’t pay their waitresses at all. NOTHING AT ALL! The table next to us got up and left no tip. Imagine if people don’t tip they’ve basically worked for free. How is this acceptable in this restaurant. This is exploitation. They should be receiving at least the minimum $2.13 per hour.

My parents braved about how good the beef soup was “caldo de Rez!” I couldn’t believe them but my mom whom cooks the best ever said it was good I was willing to try it. This is the worst experience I’ve had at a Mexican restaurant. I was overcharged for my food, I order lamb tacos(first time seeing on a mexican menu so excited) I was give tongue tacos. When I tried to tell them the price I was charged did not match the menu and that I got tongue taco instead of lamb, they stopped understanding English🙄. I love getting authentic Mexican food but left...
