Waited 20 minutes outside. Seated and sat for at lest 20 more minutes. Noticed there were only three sets of utensils so we asked for more and asked for water. Sat there 15 more minutes and finally got chips and salsa. They took our drink order but never returned. We finally got half our drinks and waited until our party was complete so we could do a toast. We waited and waited. Asked for more chips and salsa and an order of cheese dip got one more chip and dip. Finally got cheese dip halfway thru meal. Got pitcher of margaritas—went down like water because it was. Order was never taken. Went to desk to ask for utensils and to have someone bring water and take our orders Three men were around and we would beg for what we needed or go to boss at front desk. Finally got our utensils and meals. My “grilled” shrimp was raw with some seasoned salt to give them color. Took 2 1/2 hours to even get the bare minimum. The said they would comp us a pitcher of margaritas and my grilled shrimp salad. They were both on the bill. Went back up to the manager who took it off the bill. The place was not so busy near the end of our meal but we could not flag down a waiter to take our bill so we went back to to manager again to pay. We had not been out to dinner with our friends for over one year. It totally sucked. We all left feeling frustrated and mad and hungry and thirsty. I’m not sure what the final bill was but we should have just walked out. We kept expecting it to get better but it never did. Yes they were busy but there is no excuse for what we experienced. I was so disappointed by this place.... and I was so so so excited to try it after reading the reviews and seeing the photos. When pulling in the parking lot was packed I had to park in the additional parking, so I thought to myself this place MUST be good. I went by myself this past Saturday. I was greeted warmly, and was told I could sit any where I wanted. I sat down in a booth and it took 10 minutes for anyone to come over with a menu. I ordered the cerizo queso, asked for a side of jalapenos and the waiter what would be a good strong margarita. He suggested the Texas, frozen. I asked if I could have a Cornona in it as well, he said yes. The chips were dark brown, stale. The waiter brought out the margarita and it is as big as my purse!, That was pretty nice but its all sour mix and had little to no alcohol. I waited 20 minutes and when the waiter came back for my order, I asked him about the appetizer he said, Oh yes... let me go check on that. He had forgot. When I asked him for his suggestion on food, we agreed on the #20, a burrito, taco and guac.. something. He brought the appetizer..forgot the jalapenos. He brought the food and forgot the taco that goes with it. The food was bland, unflavored. at this point I was disappointed. Not only for the time it took, but also for the service. We’ve been here several times because it’s close to our house. Each time, the servers consistently either get the order wrong, forget some of the food, or ignore us for most of the night. I really want to be more satisfied with this place, as it has great reviews and is nearby… but their rice is always cold when it comes out, their queso is such a small portion that it gets cold quickly as well, and the service is consistently bad. This last time, my husband ordered the arroz con pollo a la plancha with a side of steak. Our waiter completely forgot the steak… five times. We reminded him five times, some of which required me to hunt him down, and at a certain point, we just wanted to leave. We asked for the steak in a to-go container, a box for the meal my husband never got to eat, and the receipt. He handed us a receipt with a charge for the steak and a to-go box, but he still didn’t have the steak! I reminded him a sixth time, and he brought a new receipt with no steak on it… but we still didn’t have our steak. I thought the least they would do is comp that few dollars since it was clearly an issue, but when he did FINALLY bring out what we had ordered over an hour ago, there was a $7 charge for two steak tacos… which by the way, costs more than a side of steak.
