Cottonwood Coffee — Restaurant in Brookings Township

Today me and my friend went to have a coffee date. We ordered one chai latte and one coconut milk cold pressed. One girl took the order then after 5 min she came with our order and we were really surprised, she was back with one cold brew with coconut flavour and the other one was chai only with ice. We told her we didn’t order this. She answered: I don’t know, this is my 5th day I dnt know (was rude) we were sooooo surprised then I went to the counter then I told them what I ordered but they didn’t pay any headache. And didn’t even apologize. I was really surprised, and again I paid 10 bucks and they didn’t give any discount lol. Then after 5 min that girl came back with one coffee for my friend and we were waiting waiting and waiting. After 15 min I went again to her and then I asked her where is my coffee?? She answered me: did u order for u? Lol I paid 10 bucks. Then after 5 mins she came with my coffee.

This was a really bad experience. It’s not like I take coffee once in a week. Its my day to day life routine. Usually I go to Starbucks. But if they gonna do some mess like this they always apologize and they don’t even take the money. Its ok not to understand or do a mess but I wanted an apology at least or any discount but I didn’t get any lol. It was a really really bad experience. An iconic meeting spot for the youth of Brookings. The coffee is on par with basically every other coffee place I've been to. The layout of the building is cool since there is a "back room" which sometimes has jazz events and artists perform. The ukulele club of Brookings (at least currently) meets the first Tuesday of every month at 7pm there to play some songs and sing (totally subject to change. It's just this way currently). If you’re looking for awesome coffee served by kind people with a chill acoustic background, this is the place to go. There’s plenty of tables to study at with so many outlets I can have my entire Apple ecosystem plugged in and still have room for more. They are prompt with their service and support so many local organizations. Very clean but still has the vibe of a bit of a worn down comfort place. 10/10 this has been my go-to coffee shop for my last 4 years of college.
