The tacos that come in the corn tortillas have quite small portion sizes. I’m a man who can eat quite a bit and ended up ordering “again” after I finished my first meal. Food review All of the small tacos included onion, lime, a radish slice, and cilantro. Taco asada: the chopped steak was of moderate quality. Average asada. It was simple in a good way. Taco buche. Buche is pig stomach. It was good! The texture was kind of like eating semi delicate pieces of a rubber glove sliced into squares if the gloves were an eighth inch thick. The taste isn’t crazy or overt or anything. Simple and it doesn’t stand out at all. Faint lower note taste, similar to mushrooms but only a third as mild. Taco tripe. This is fried cow intestine. It was very very similar to crispy fried pork belly! Tasted very similar to bacon. Loved it. The texture was remarkable and crispy and crunchy fried. Flavor was great. It smells worse than it tastes haha, but that’s usually the way with pork and intestines. I like that you can buy paletas (Mexican popsicles, kind of) and other imported treats for any kids present. Service was fine. I think it’s an “order at the cashier” establishment. The atmosphere was fine. The place could have used louder Mexican music and more decorations around the place. I didn’t feel super absorbed.

I recently gave this place a review of 2 stars due to the poor food quality I had received from a previous delivery order I had from the Taqueria, I rescinded that review. I thought why not give this place one more try, maybe it was a one time thing, and I did. I ordered the quesabirria with extra cheese and a horchata, both were extremely good and the price was worth both of the items. The consomé was really good as well and flavor of all food was amazing. I have changed my mind about this place and will definitely order from them again in the future.

If there's more authentic Mexican in Brookings, holler. Tacos de lengua- very solid with traditional garnish. Quesabirra was also super yummy with deep rich consomme. Mssg to the operators tho- Get Chips, porfa. Its really odd u don't, to me? Especially when the guac was sooo rocking. Great stuff all around

If youre looking for an authentic street taco experience, this is THE place! Ive never had any dish here that didn't knock it out of the park. Its hard to find good Mexican food in the midwest, but this definitely does it for me. My favorite are the quesa birria tacos, but I switch up my order each time I go, and I love it every time.

In addition to the amazing food, the owners are a very sweet family from Mexico and Venezuela, and they take great pride in their restauraunt. They care deeply about the flavor, quality control, and authentic experience. The wife of the family, Mariangel, is a former Jackrabbit who fell in love with the Brookings community while attending school. She and her husband decided to raise their family here and wanted to give back to the community they so love by sharing their culture...
