The Socialight Boutique — Local services in Brookings Township

I drove from Sioux Falls (over an hour) for this launch party after purchasing an advanced ticket for $10. I was super excited to go, but that excitement was short-lived. The event started at 6:30pm however, outside factors such as the long commute and helping my son get ready for his after school activities I was about 20 minutes late. I arrived to the door after rushing to get there and was met with a cold and uninviting staff member. I was told the event started at 6:30pm. I explained that I purchased a ticket and was still excited to see the launch even though I was a little late. Unfortunately I was made to feel as if I was a bother and inconvenience by the staff member. I was made to feel not welcome so I explained that I guess I missed it and better leave. Which was confusing because as their marketing advertisement for the event stated it was not a strict time, but a casual fun event. No future interaction redirected or encouraged to join the event in any way. I was planning to buy the exclusive sweatshirt and sweatpants merch. I guess it was so exclusive they didn’t want my money, except the ticket price. That they gladly took. Unfortunately this situation soured my expectations and really makes me think twice of what businesses I support. I would not want any of my friends and family to feel the way they made me feel therefore I cannot in good conscience recommend these experiences in the future to those...

Happened upon this cute little place on our way through town. Honestly a big highlight for me on the 600 mile road trip! Such a chic atmosphere inside and the staff was so cheery and helpful.
