This is close to our home so we decided to try. The decor is standard asianish with no music. Comfy booths and a fee longer tables in the front. The menu has lots of options with both preset family style and single combo dinners. There are also noodle dishes. I was able to change one of the combo dinners for a nominal fee. We also ordered the combo appetizer featuring egg rolls, bbq pork, fried shrimp and flyboys basic chick wings overbreaded and flavorless which filled us up and duplicated several items on our plates. We got to take most of our dinners home for leftovers. We enjoyed the hot tea on our rainy late afternoon visit and also had a cold Tsing Tao each. The veggies in the beef broccoli were not as crisp as we liked and the meat was not seasoned. The pork fried rice was not that tasty or fresh, you can substitute steamed white rice for an additional $2.50. We may come back. The overall pricing is par for this overpriced town. It is easy to miss in its corner spot as you're going up or down the hill. See you on...
Read moreMy wife and I have ordered takeout from Chan's several times including once today. Most meals have been pretty good (average to slightly above), but today's meal was off. I really didn't enjoy it, and most of it went into the trash. I wish I had cooked our dinner this afternoon. My meal today was broccoli beef, and it was unlike any I've ever had. It had a really unusual/unpleasant sour flavor. It kind of reminded me of the sourness of beef that's a little past its time. However, it's texture was normal and old beef will usually have a slightly different texture which this did not have. I don't think it was bad, but I do think it might have been past its prime. Broccoli beef has long been one of my favorite Chinese meals, and I've eaten it many many times. But this was one of the most unpleasant examples of this meal that I've ever...
Read moreI took my wife, grand daughter and her two children to this "restaurant". We all ordered from the menu. My plate was mostly vegetables with rice, which I did ask for. However, the vegetables were so spiced up that I could not taste the vegetables because the amount of "flavoring" on them was burning my mouth. My wife's rice was dry so she asked if she could please have a side of mash potatoes. She got a very curt, stone faced "we don't have potatoes" from the waitress. My wife said oh, ok could I have a slice of bread instead - again the very curt, stone face..." We don't have bread". My wife and I have travelled in the UK, Europe, Africa and 5 states in the USA and have to say this was the worst eating experience, worst server experience we have ever experienced. Needless to say, we will NOT be visiting that...
