Capella By The Sea — Attraction in Brookings

We did Photography and Video for an intimate Micro wedding here. It was a beautiful indoor space! Perfect for an Elopement Ceremony with your closest family and friends. The many beautiful glass windows, crisscross beams, stone floor, pews and chevron design of the building give this an elegant, ethereal chapel vibe with a bit of mystery and moodiness. Their website says capacity is 49, with 40 seated, but I think 25-30 guests is a little more comfortable inside this space :) It is also nestled inside Azalea Park which has gorgeous flowers that bloom in the spring. The beach is 5 minutes away and it is close to the city center of Brookings for easy access to food, lodging and reception venues. We were married at the Capella by the Sea in August 2022 and it exceeded all expectations. The booking process was extremely simple and the pricing was very affordable. The venue is right in town and easy for guests to find. We did a early morning wedding with coffee and a cute doughnut bar and then everyone went to dinner at a different location that evening. Gorgeous although not a whole lot of airflow and therefore hot in the summer, so keep that in mind. Also, the ceiling is made of an orangey wood, so that combined with the greenery outside makes the ambient light not-so-flattering on skin tones. Also, it was filled with termites today (early October).
