Truly disappointing visit. It was, unfortunately, a significant letdown, especially after a long drive from the Bay Area. While I understand that popular spots can get busy, the experience here felt less like a busy rush and more like sheer disorganization and neglect. (Was not busy when we arrived)
We placed an order for steak tacos and the no-meat "Mexican" nachos, and then the waiting game began. What should have been a relatively quick turnaround for such dishes stretched into 40+ minute wait. To add insult to injury, we couldn't even get our drinks in that time.
When I finally went to inquire about our order, hoping at least to grab our beverages, the person at the window inexplicably set off our pager while I was still standing in line. It quickly became clear why: our food was already sitting in the warmer, having been ready for an unknown amount of time. After waiting over 40 minutes, it's truly baffling and frustrating to know the food was simply waiting to be picked up, rather than being delivered promptly.
The "no-meat" nachos, priced at $10, were particularly disappointing. They simply weren't worth the cost, lacking in both substance and flavor, further contributing to the overall sense of being ripped off.
What made the experience even more galling was observing other patrons, particularly those who appeared to be yt receiving their orders with seemingly much greater efficiency. It felt like a stark contrast to our prolonged wait and the general lack of attention we received. Ultimately, after a long drive, this taqueria visit left me feeling thoroughly tired and profoundly disappointed. The long wait, the cold food, and the feeling of being overlooked made for a truly regrettable...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I arrived at a somewhat busy time, but no where near to what seemed like a rush. I ordered the breakfast burrito with no beans, and my boyfriend the combo plate with an extra tamale. We waited nearly 25 minutes watching people get their food before ours, even though we were next in line. After waiting a few more minutes we finally went up and asked about when our food will be ready. They apologized and said the cook accidentally put beans in the burrito, that it’s being remade and offered us draftee drinks for the long wait. We nicely declined and continued to wait. Once our food was ready we took it to go. After opening the bag of food, there was only 2 tamales, no rice and beans which come for the combo. Inside my burrito there was eggshells. Seems like this place isn’t the most organized, however the workers...
Read moreI ordered 2 carne asada burritos with no beans and no rice because I do NOT like them in my burritos. The woman working there told me they would do that but then I have to pay extra to have sour cream and guacamole on my carne asada which most places include guacamole with carne asada burrito…. I said ok and she charged me exactly $35 for 2 burritos a la carte and 1 small drink. Came home and burritos still were filled with beans and rice so she made extra money from me on bot burritos and still didn’t do what I asked. The food wasn’t even close to worth the price....
