If you’re looking for a solid Pad Thai spot, you have to give Giggling Rice a try! It’s my go-to spot here in Boston.

They have a large menu with appetizers, soups, fried rices, Pad Thai, curry, and other noodle dishes. There is something for everyone on the menu.

If you want a genuine, native meal- they have a small selection on the menu. It’s the first place I’ve seen that offers this. I’ll have to try a “Native” dish on my next visit! They also have a solid Chef’s Special menu.

To start off, we always order the Crab Rangoons. They are some of the best I’ve had. Perfectly made, not overly greasy. The filling consists of crab stick and cream cheese.

Our favorite is the Pineapple Sauce served with the crab rangoons. It pairs perfectly with the Rangoons and I honestly wish I had the recipe. It’s incredible and completes the appetizer. You get quite a few Rangoons, plenty for two people to share. They’re very generous with portions here.

The main course for us is always the Chicken and Shrimp Pad Thai. The Pad Thai is prepared with stir-fried rice noodles, bean sprouts, egg, peanuts, and scallion. You can also order it with just chicken, shrimp, or beef.

I have to deduct one star as they do skimp a bit on the protein added to the Pad Thai. My entire order had three shrimp. It was also a bit short on chicken. They would have gotten five stars otherwise.

The portions are very large and plenty to feed two people. If you order the Pad Thai, pay close attention to what OPTIONAL “spicy level” you choose. You can also get it without any heat, which is what we do. I ordered the “Mild Spicy” once- it was so spicy it was inedible. And I have a very high tolerance for spicy food. The plain Pad Thai without heat is phenomenal.

If you’re looking for a solid Pad Thai & Noodle spot, you have to give these guys a try! It’s always packed perfectly. The order is always accurate and piping hot upon delivery.

Their amazing Pad Thai keeps us coming back over and over again. I’d love to give 5-Stars, but the protein portion of the Pad Thai was very skimpy. If they can improve on that, I’ll be even happier. If they could add an option for DOUBLE protein, I’d happily pay...

Conveniently located right off St. Mary's Stop (Station) on the "C" Greenline, this place makes some of the best Thai dishes I have had in Boston. A nice cozy place with about 20 seat, and their specials on the wall, its a nice place to stop by and grab a bite or take away.

When you come, place the order at the register with the staff and if you eat in, they will bring it over to wherever you sit.

The Pad Thai noodles are nice and chewy and is served with a health portion of Shrimp. The flavor is spot on and not greasy like some other places that I have been to.

The Indonesian fried rice was good by itself, however, the friend boneless chicken to me was a little too much on the fried side and could have been taken out to the fryer sooner. However, that is just my opinion, as other people in my party thought it was perfect and matched with fried rice perfectly.

We also got the drunken noodles and that was AMAZING!!!! the flavor was so good and even though I was full, I could not stop eating it. The noodles were cooked to perfection with a nice bounce to the noodle and the meat and veggies had a nice seer to. I definitely a dish I will be ordering again.

For the portion and price, it can't be beat. A great place to if you are in the mood for Thai.

FYI - If you are eating there, be sure to clean up after yourself, there is a trash can and a cleaning station for you to put your dirty plates and utensils when you are done eating. (Can't tell you how many people I saw eat, and then leave without cleaning, even though there is a sign asking to please put dirty dishes...

Amazing and Terrible depending on the item, Ordered takeout

The Gai Grob Pad Thai (Pad Thai with Fried Chicken) was beyond amazing in its catagory. The Pad Thai was nothing special but very good for the price and portion. For the quality of takeout the noodles separated perfectly and it still felt fresh rather than 30 min old. The crispy fried chicken that was on top was what made it outstanding. Somehow after traveling for 30 min in a sealed steamy container it arrived very crunchy, hot and juicy. I ordered this 3 different times and every time it arrived still crunchy and hot. For the price, quantity, and quality this is outstanding. Im not sure if it's even crunchier or better in store 9/10

The Khao Pad Jungle Beef (Fried rice with beef and other things) was a mix of good and bad. It was very oily but that is normal for fried rice. However the rice was very very old. Not the correct age of old that is typically used for fried rice, but falling apart and shriveled up old. The foundation of the dish (the rice) was bad so the rest of it was very bad. On top of this the vegetables and other fresh items like spring onion, were very old. The dish looked like it was from the day before or older. I can not confirm this but It was also possible I received mild food poisoning but I can not...

The tricky part of reviewing Thai Food is, I mean, its always good right? Well, the affably named Giggling Rice is no exception. Have ordered here nearly a dozen times and never been disappointed. Likely the greatest value food in the area, Giggling Rice always seems to bring it. The taste and freshness is delicious, and always beats any homemade curry I have ever made. I think they may have stopped, but they used to place a small piece of cardboard on the bottom of pick-up bags to keep the trays level inside the bag and help stop any spillage. I don't think they do it anymore, but was a really cool trick I appreciated!

the food here is delicious (my favorites are the veggie pad thai, scallion pancakes, and tofu tom yum soup), and the prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get- the pad thai is around $10 and I could easily get 2-3 meals out of it. Just make sure you order in advance because wait times can be long if you order in person on busy nights. Definitely recommend!
