So me and wife came here on Christmas day thinking to ourselves that we will be able to enjoy some decent Chinese buffet food for the holiday, but boy was we WRONG. We initially called the buffet roughly around 7:30pm just to confirm they were open due to the holiday and a lady picked up and said they were open until 10:30 that night. So me and my wife went and got there at 8pm. Our first sign to go somewhere else and walk away when we arrived there should have been because of the lack of any customer vehicles in the parking lot. Instead I insisted that actually just go in since we're there already. Little did I know that I was going to have the worst buffet experience of my entire life. All their buffet food was old and looked like it has been sitting in the tray ever since the morning when they first open up. You can clearly tell by the hard crust that is visible on all their food in the buffet. Everything was either old or empty with the employees having absolutely no intentions of refilling it. The only thing they did to tend to their food was coming by once in a while and stirring it around to deceive their customers to thinking it was fresh. There was like literally only 20 fried shrimps when I got there. 2 of their 3 pot of soups was completely empty. They had like only 4 to 5 pieces of very old sushi by their sushi bar that looks clearly old and disgusting that I can't believe they will actually still leave out for customers to take. Their fried rice and white rice was old and dry. Me actually do my wife thought that if we stayed actually do little longer, they might actually cook some fresh food and refill something. But sad to say, we were wrong once more. During our little wait out we even went to try their pho(rice noodle soup) but there wasn't even anybody by the counter to serve us the broth either. We had to ask the lady that sweeps the floor to go behind the counter and serve us some noodle broth. This was no doubt definitely my worst buffet experience of my entire life. Let me state for the record that this wasn't my first dining at this particular establishment. Me and my family has been coming here for over 10 years and I am not afraid to declare that New king Buffet will never see a single dime from either me or my family ever again. I will tell everyone I know about this horrible experience here at this buffet and will never eat here again. There are definitely other buffets in the vicinity that we all can go to. My last words are if you are looking for horrible buffet food and bad memories then this is your spot to go, otherwise save yourself the disappointment and take your money elsewhere....
Read moreUsed to be our favorite place. Good food and selection. That changed tonight when I asked for some napkins to take into the bathroom so I could wash up after work. (I work outside and was covered in dust, and there is only a blow dryer in the bathroom, no paper towels.)
I asked for some napkins from a couple of employees folding napkins onto silverware. They offered me one. I asked for more. They said use the little ones, pointing to the table dispenser.
She opened one of the paper towels and said, see, big."
I showed them my dirty hands and motioned washing my face, and asked for one more. She gave me one more, and as I was walking to the bathroom I heard her call out, "Idiot."
I looked back and said, "Idiot??"
She looked taken aback and quickly said, "sorry sorry."
Too late.
I talked to the hostess and relayed the above story, and told them I didn't appreciate being insulted by the employee, especially since we are loyal customers and visit once every week or two between 3 adults.
"No free food, manager on vacation. I'm sorry," the hostess. By this time we are center stage, I'm not yelling but I'm livid and the whole place is looking at us as my partner steps in and I leave the store because I'm furious.
I go back in to get idiots name, hostess's name, and managers name, again not yelling but direct.
"Manager doesn't take calls," she said. "I'll call here when he comes back," I said. "Manager is on vacation," she said. "What is his/her name?" I ask.
Suddenly I'm being handed a cell phone. It was the manager. He apologized and told me that I got my apology and he's sorry this happened. I asked if he would comp my meal. He couldn't do that because he knows the level of English the employees know and he is confident they don't the word English. It must hff ave been some Chinese word that sounds like idiot.
Say what??
It was a snide comment delivered with malice.
"I can give 50% off one meal," the manager said.
So I started from the beginning, walked him through the whole thing again, including my loyalty, and how I wasn't being belligerent, etc.
Finally he breaks and offers 1 free meal.
I hand the phone to the hostess and walk out. Here I sit in the parking lot writing this as I say good bye to our beloved New King.
Customer satisfaction needs some...
Read moreMy family and I don't go to this buffet often, but we decided to since it was within the area and close to home. Our first few maybe 2-3 times were okay, but it's something about the atmosphere of the buffet that throws it off for me - I feel unclean eating and sitting there, but I try to brush it off.
Over the weekend (Sunday 05/18/2025), my brother and I decided to stop there for lunch with my mom. We went in and did our usual pay before eating, had our drinks ordered, then my mom and I went to the bathroom to wash our hands before eating. Upon walking into the women's bathroom, I noticed that someone in one of the stalls had their Asian show on full blast. I brushed it off, because it didn't concern me; however, what happened next grossed myself and my mom out.
The person had came out of the stall to wash their hands. My mom and I both noticed that the person in the stall handles the cooked food and refills anything that may need refilling, hence the pair of blue gloves that they had on. My mom and I both thought that they were going to take off their pair of blue gloves and dispose it before washing their hands, but they didn't - instead, they proceeded to wash their hands WITH the pair of blue gloves on. I was like, okay, maybe they'll change out their gloves into a new pair, but they didn't.
The whole time I was eating there, I could not help but feel sick to my stomach and had a loss of appetite. It makes me question the cleanliness of the entire buffet itself - from the food being cooked, to how they clean and wash their dishes, tables, etc. After witnessing what my mom and I had seen, we will NOT be returning to New...
