Edit: I am updating to 1 star, leaving original review plus reasons for 1 star. The sale part was fine, but beware after they get your money, unless you're picking up... then it's probably fine.
Original review: Sue was incredibly helpful in showing available options for what I was looking for after describing what I wanted. Additionally, she was able to help secure a sale price for me even though I was not going to be able to purchase a couple days after the sale had ended. Thanks!
Edited to add: The delivery process got incredibly messed up. Granted, I had to reserve loading dock space due to being in an apartment complex. When I arranged this I had said I reserved the loading dock for 8am-12pm (the longest I could reserve for) and was told that should be fine. When I got the call from scheduling, they told me the Saturday delivery window would be from 10:30-12:30, and I told them I don't think that will work given the time I had reserved for, they told me to keep the time. On the day of, the ultimate ETA for them getting to me ended up being 1:45pm, over an hour past the latest time in the delivery window, and way past when I had the dock reserved. So, I had to call and reschedule, which was horrible because all that stuff was for my apartment, the complete living room and bedroom. Scheduling told me Sunday can't be done, and they couldn't deliver Monday, but could put me on Wednesday. Not sure if they delivery Monday's or not, but that was never explained to me. Sue got in touch with the routers/scheduling and helped get the time set up, and I reserved the loading dock for the time specified. Lo and behold, when they delivered the furniture on Wednesday (4 days after original delivery date) they did not delivery the boxspring or mattress. I felt so incredibly defeated. They delivered the bedframe and mattress protector but no bed? So, I had to sleep on the couch that night. I was able to speak to someone and at least they could deliver it the next day instead of waiting 4 days. Which they did, I got the bed the next day, with no explanation of why it was left off the delivery the day before. After I had asked, Sue did give me a refund on the delivery charge. However, no further word on getting the bed a day late, I didn't get anything for that. And lastly, after I emailed Sue with pictures of the Dresser being delivered with a chip in it, and the night stand with an indentation where it 'pressed' in, after 4 days I haven't heard anything back on that. And, I don't want to spend any more hours calling again and asking what can be done about that, I'm just done. Hence, the one...
Read moreI’m giving one star because I had no other choice. I walked into HOM and no one acknowledged me. I may have been their 1st customer of the day. I was excited to go shop around and the staffs here killed that excitement instantly. I’m not sure if it was due to my appearance which shouldn’t have mattered. There were 3 female staffs at the register and 2 male staffs at the front. None of them ever spoke to me. I went around the store for about 15 minutes before Fabian began to follow me around the store as if I was going to steal something. He didn’t speak so I didn’t know his purpose of following me everywhere I went. After about 7 minutes of following me before he asked me if I liked the texture of a specific couch I had been eyeing for a little while. He followed me around the store for about an hour not really saying much. Just watching. I finally spoke to him about putting some stuff on layaway due to my moving date being so far out. He told me to take pictures of the tags. He went and asked the other staffs if it was ok for me to do the layaway. He also helped to find the price of something that was not tagged. I finally went to the register where the 3 ladies were and stood there the 1st time for about 12 minutes and they kept talking amongst themselves without even saying a simple hi to me. I walked around and came back a 2nd time to see if they were done. Stood there for a while again and nothing was said. I was contemplating to leave the store before I saw that there was an second level which I asked Fabian about. I went up there and looked around for a little while which he followed me again. I came back downstairs and he later came down as well. After he saw me standing at the register for a 3rd time without any of those ladies saying a word to me he then said he could help me out. He finally helped me put my rugs on layaway and I left the store feeling so terrible about how they treated me. They made me feel so worthless as a customer the whole almost 2 hours I spent in that store yesterday. I still cannot shake the terrible feeling off. Thanks to Fabian for saving a little bit of my dignity with the little assistance he gave although it seemed he wasn’t even in the mood to help. His energy was off but at least I got some assistance. I’m very disturbed about how I was treated. I may just have to cancel the items I put on layaway. Read moreThis is my first time shopping at HOM Furniture and I will say it has been such a wonderful experience. My wife and I came in right at open on a Friday morning to look for a bed frame and mattress. As we entered, we were greeted by Sam Jamison. We informed him of our intentions and he directed us upstairs to the left section. After about 30 minutes of looking, we had questions regarding a certain bed frame and Sam was able to answer all of them. We finalized our decision on a certain frame and Sam took down the information for later checkout. He soon directed us to the mattress section where Mark Husband works. Right as we approached the area, Mark greeted us warmly. He gave us the run down on all their brands and the price points for each. He also gave us pillows with disposable pillow covers for us to try out. Unlike other mattress sales consultants, Mark did not follow us around. He also did not pester us as we tried each mattress. He gave us the space that we needed and I greatly appreciated this. When we finally found the right mattress, I went to inform Mark and Sam. The final process of the transaction went very smooth. Mark is a straight shooter and this made it all the better. He also went so much as to illustrate his concern for the bed frame and its metal slats and how it might compromise the integrity of the mattress if we went with no foundation. Overall, aside from a few jokes with Mark and Sam, the customer care that my wife and I got from them will definitely make me return for any future items if I ever need anything for my home. Customer service was truly shown by Mark and Sam. My interaction with both, especially Mark, has been outstanding. Mark truly shows passion in what he does and ensures that the customer leaves well informed of all the possible mishaps, if any, and I thank him for that. Please keep up the great...
