I bought three tacos and carne asada fries. The tacos were about $3.95 per taco. Unfortunately, the tacos were unseasoned and the pepper (red and green) were quite watered and not spicy. I'm a huge taco fan, and every taco restaurant I've had always includes two corn tortillas with small chopped meat pieces. Si Señor only gave one corn tortilla and had very large meat chunks. Even my chorizo taco, which is supposed to be fine ground pork, had chunks of round clumped chorizo meat in the taco. The carne asada fries weren't that bad, but could've had more seasoning.
Until yesterday, I thought all corn taco shells were the same. I saved one taco for dinner, and when I ate it, the taco shell fell apart in 2 seconds. I know that corn shells rip very easily, especially once cold, but the shell literally CRUMBLED into small little pieces. I've never had that happen with any of my leftover tacos before. It was very odd.
The restaurant was very clean and the service was fast. The lady who took my order...
Read moreOur family ordered takeout online through Toast. Unfortunately our order was incorrect. Not a good first impression for a new and not busy restaurant. We ordered the dip flight for $10 which was supposed to include guacamole, salsa, and queso. We did not receive the guac (which was the main reason we ordered the flight) - instead we got a small container of refried beans, which was in addition to the side of refried beans that we'd ordered (the ordered side was $3.50 for three times the amount in the dip container.) So we basically paid $10 for a small amount of queso and salsa with chips. The tacos were ok. The barbacoa and birria tacos tasted essentially the same, and my barbacoa had a large chunk of fat. Our total was $65 for 6 tacos, a quesadilla, a side of beans, and chips with a small serving of queso and salsa. It seemed overpriced for what we received. We might consider trying this place again to taste a couple other menu items but will skip the...
Read moreWe stopped by because we were familiar with the previous tenants. We gave these new people a try anyways. We got lengua tacos to give our first impressions: we got 7 tacos and were served in a party tray which was not a great plating choice to serve with just 2 people; no napkins or plates to make sharing a smooth experience.
The tacos themselves had one layer of tortilla; at most taco places we've gone to its almost always two layers. The tortilla was dry and broke when folded, having the taco fall apart with nothing like a plate or napkin to catch the fillings was not a fun experience. Lengua tasted like it had no seasoning. Considering that the salsa accounted for all the seasoning and the only thing saving the dish, there wasn't very much of it to comfortably serve with all tacos.
The tacos were almost 4 dollars each and in our opinion not...
