Overall I would not recommend eating or should I say eat at your own risk. Right when you enter the parking lot it was dirty with litter in multiple areas. Entering the foyer area was filthy..garbage everywhere...the thermostat to the right if the cash register was coming out of the wall with exposed wires... at this point I should have just known better and walked out .however my companion wanted the experience of the GC buffet. As we approached the register the girl asked us what we wanted to drink...we responded waters which were filled to the brim and overflowed on her hand that she put on the counter and wiped her hand off of herself. After we paid we looked around. There would have been ample seating but only one person was clearing tables...the tables were not wiped down well...the cushions and chairs at the tables were not wiped down at all..food was above the seating surfaces. The ground was horrible and filled with food and garbage. The clean plates still had food particles on them...and the utensils were no better. The food was no better and the employees could care less on how they presented themselves...sloppy uniforms...dirty...and more than employee has most of their hair coming out of his hat ..one while he worked the grill in the center with a cast on his arm...mostly talking to himself with a frown on his face....he missed placing the steak on a clients hand and it fell between the other food items...which then she ...the client...picked up with her fingers and put on her plate. Almost nothing was wiped down and the soups were crusted over... I could keep going...but I think you get the picture. It was by far one if the worst experiences I have had in a buffet style place. My companion got his experience in...never again...it was 36 dollars and some cents for dinner for 2.. you would be better off just throwing your money out the window. I really don't know how corporate or management of GC or whomever is in charge tolerates what I saw...or how the health department has not been through this place...horrible! UPDATE TO ALL OF YOU FOLLOWING THIS: So the management team reached out to me - April 22, 2024 I responded to the email inquiry that they requested someone to please call me - No one has yet to reach out. Today is May 12, 2024. Nothing further to add! And as of September of 2024...no follow up...as long as they're making money...and people are accepting of the atmosphere...there's never a...
Read moreThis was by far, the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. Went up to the buffet to get my food and decided to get soup. The utensils you get at the beginning do not contain a spoon. I saw a manager at the buffet line and asked where I could find a spoon. He immediately backed away from me with his hands up in a defensive stance and started with the ma'am please back up . I then calmly and politely said, "I'm only asking for a spoon." Instead of pointing me in the right direction, he proceeded to yell ma'am back away. That was my cue to walk away/ around him to my table to not engage with him to contribute to the scene he wanted to cause. At this point, my appetite is gone and I wanted to eat what I could with the utensils provided. While doing so, I witnessed another supervisor swing the doors of the private room open and berate three young black women employees who seemed to be taking a break. At this point I'm furious and based on my experience with the manager I knew he probably condoned the behavior and decided to contact corporate executives. I definitely felt this behavior was racially motivated and could not enjoy my food. I will NEVER give my money to a corporation or business that feel they can treat their customers and employees this way. Golden Corral definitely lost my family and...
Read moreI haven’t been here in 14 years and my nephew begged me to go for his birthday and June 2024 I took a chance. My total was $19 something and after asking for plastic utensils, my total was $21 something? That was weird to me but I guess that’s the policy or whatever. I was seated in the party room by Lisa and I noticed it was empty so it was perfect for our quick lunch. 8 adults 5 children ages 11-17 and 2 autistic children ages 4 and 5, 1 of them is nonverbal. After being seated, eating and enjoying ourselves the manager comes in the party room and says “hey I can’t have the children running around screaming” I politely told him “I have 2 autistic children who has been with us the entire time unless they were getting food WITH AN ADULT can you tell me who is doing the screaming and running around?” His response was “that doesn’t matter they can’t be running around screaming” . I felt so overwhelmed with frustration and anger that he provided horrible service and basically told me he dgaf. I called corporate support because that is just outrageous and unacceptable. I only gave service a 2 star because my server provided good customer service otherwise I would have gave them...
