*AWFUL EXPERIENCE * My bf and I purchased a sectional sofa in January of this year (2016) because we loved the chaise on it. It was delivered in March when it arrived the wedge section underneath was broke which my bf was able to fix then about a month or two later we noticed the chaise and wedge section were caving in. I called Kroheims and they wanted me to take pictures and email them to them (which I did the same day) I waited over a month for a phone call from them, NOTHING. So I then called the store spoke to Marian she stated let me check into this and then 2 weeks went by NOTHING still called Marian again and finally that next day their Service woman called. She was RUDE and they were not accommodating at all. NO SATURDAYS for service calls which finding out later on they DO have Saturdays appointments. I had to take off work for them to come out service guy wanted to basically half ass fix the problems and then proceeded to tell us their is no fixing these problems due too them having bands and not Springs and the more you sit in it the more they will sink in... Few weeks later the reclining part in the chaise broke, had their service guy come out again he had to order the part and he stated it would take a few days to come in, a month later nothing from Kroheims I call speak to Marian once again and low and behold the part was never ordered. They order it guy comes out about a week later and fixes it. Once the guy leave I notice my hardwood floor is scratched all up from him moving the chaise all around on the wood floor. My bf flops the chaise over and it's missing a pad on the far left leg. Long story short call and spoke to Marian AGAIN raising hell about everything and asked if they could give me a recliner end to replace the chaise after chasing her back and forth for several weeks they finally came and got the chaise and delivered a recliner end today on NOVEMBER 12TH but not before Marian wanted me to pay a 106.00 delivery fee and then told me their would not be any refund back to me even though the chaise was 146.00 more then just a recliner piece. So needless to say I'm still not done with these people yet. I am entitled to a refund plus some now due to all the aggravation and chasing I had too do and I sent these people two family members that each spend over $4,000 a piece on their furniture and then I bought a mattress from them. Buyers Beware
8 months ago my husband and I remodeled our bedroom. After installing new laminate flooring and finishing the rest of the room we went to Kronheims to purchase a bedroom set. We took delivery of the bedroom set and after the movers left we noticed our brand new flooring had been damaged. The furniture had been dragged over the new floor instead of lifted. We took pictures and measurements of the width of these scratches and it matched our new furniture legs exactly. We contacted Kronheims immediately and several times after asking them to repair the damage. Many messages were left for the manager to return the call but it was as if they didn’t care.
Eventually someone from the store came to look at the floor. The only offer they made was $150 to buy a repair kit from Home Depot and they wanted us to do our own repairs. I then went to the store in person to speak to the manager and was told the manager couldn’t see me. My calls were not returned and to this date they have not called or accommodated helping with our floor damage. We had our attorney write a letter of which they still did not reply. It would cost lots of money to file for damages and at this point we feel very defeated.
The furniture was fine but the store allowed delivery people to damage our property and will not take care of our brand new floor. My guess is that they figured if they drag this out far enough we would give up and forget about it. We haven’t forgotten about it and we want to warn anyone that considers making a purchase from this store to think about it again. Our property was damaged and the store does not even take accountability for this and after reading other posts it seems to be the same for others who have dealt with Kronheims. We just wanted them to fix what they damaged. I know we will never shop there again and I have shared with all my family and friends to warn them about making a purchase at Kronheims.
