People often overlook or neglect one of the most crucial things that help keep business's thriving and afloat and it's not all just about the product, service and (or) goods they offer! In my own opinion, it's their staff and employees and how they interact with their customers and guest. You could have a top notch product or service and suck at customer service or in reversal could have mediocre products but have great staff and customer service. Fortunately for the long horn location in Delaware that we visited, they have what I like to call a triple threat, great staff, great customer service and great food perfectly cooked. My wife, daughter and I had an amazing time thanks to our awesome waiter Jason. He was very friendly and knowledgeable as well as attentive and made sure our meal came out fast and made it a point to check back on us often to make sure our food was cooked to our liking and that we had everything we needed. He made us feel very welcomed thanks to his mannerism. The food was delicious and cooked perfectly. Definitely a good steakhouse to visit and easy on the wallet compared to many other steakhouses. Due to the budget friendly menu the great food, atmosphere and our excellent waiter Jason, this just became one of our favorite steakhouses. Definitely worth the 45 minute drive from where we live even though there is a closer location to our home. Hopefully the next time we visit this perticular location we will get Jason as our waiter again. He definitely deserved the tip. He is truly an awesome person all the way around, from the way he spoke to my wife, daughter and I to his demeanor and the way he Carrie's himself. He was Very polite and respectful and is truly an asset to the longhorn franchise, but regardless of where life Carrie's him, I'm sure he's likely to succeed in anything he does, hats off to you friend and thankyou for being an amazing human being and making me and my wife's 2nd year wedding anniversary all the more memorable. Nothing but the best of wishes for you in life my friend. I would give more stars if possible just based off the interaction we had with our waiter....
Read moreWhile I usually never make reviews, especially with places I enjoy going to, this location has truthfully disappointed me for the last time. While this isn’t my first disappointment with this location because of the ever changing (and seriously declining) service quality, my experience tonight was and is the final time I will be going to this location. Tonight my family and I went out for dinner, only to be waiting for almost 2 hours for our food. Of course it being a Saturday, the restaurant was naturally busy but my family and I noticed other tables receiving their food MUCH sooner than ours, tables that were seated much later than us as well. The longer the night went on, our server seemed to forget that we even existed. The poor people at two other tables were also receiving the same treatment, the lady behind me had to walk to the bar to order her drinks because the servers never came and checked on the tables in the section. By the time our mushrooms arrived (which were excellent btw) we then waited and additional hour just for salads and by the time our main entrees reached us (2 hours later), our steaks were cold and my father actually sent his back because it was WAY overcooked. The manager was completely useless and never once apologized for my family’s wait time or the lack of care from the servers. His exact words were “Explain the problem” and spoke in a tone as if we were wasting his time and he himself seemed very standoffish about addressing the issues we had to say. I have worked in the service industry for 10 years and what should have been said was “I apologize, let me make things right for you guys”. I am not expecting free food, but an apology at the very least. I do not blame our server specifically, but they should have been checking on the section every so often, not when they felt like it. We arrived at 6:45 and didn’t eventually leave until around 9. I wish no ill will for the staff and I only write this in hopes of things becoming much better for the future. Thank you...
Read moreVery unhappy!! My husband took me and our 2 daughters (ages 17 & 9) out to dinner at the Bear location and I was very dissatisfied!!!! We did call ahead for 6:15, after waiting 25 min I asked the hostess when we could expect to be seated and found that they didn’t ring our buzzer they handed us instead they called our name, which we didn’t hear ...therefore we had been taken off the list for seating. We were finally seated and placed our order. I ordered a well done steak and my husband ordered his steak medium rare-after waiting another 30-40 min our steaks were served and I cut mine and blood poured out of it. I asked our server if they had switched the order as my husbands steak was over well done. My steak was sent back and while my husband ate the very well done steak (he was hungry) and our kids ate I sat and watched -20 min later they were done and my steak is served and it’s still pretty pink inside!!! I ate a few outer pieces and gave the pinker inside to my husband. The manager offered free dessert. We each ordered a dessert and the waitress comes back to tell us the dessert portions are pretty big and they can be shared easily. I just advised her to bring 2 and told her the manager offered free dessert. Finally we received our 2 desserts to share and our check to find we were charged full price for the dessert that we were told would be on the house. I deducted the desserts off the bill and placed the cash inside and handed it to the server and advised her that the money for the meal was inside minus the dessert charge! Me and my husband have a decent income but we don’t get to spend $100 every weekend on dinner. I didn’t think I would ever be in a restaurant for over 2 hours when I called ahead and I really didn’t expect to...
