Read moreHow this has a 4.8 is a poor reflection on the culturally ignorant Americans that venture to eat here and don't know any better, as evidenced by the weird religious people next to us reciting Bible verses during their meal. This is more like Chinese-American fast food. There is nothing authentic about this place, and the spice levels reflected that. If they tried to do this in Chicago or LA they would be closed in a week. This is not Thai food, and we will not be coming back.
-Analysis- out of 5 points each
Cleanliness: 2 - someone else's hair on the table when we arrived. I highly doubt they would pass a surprise health inspection.
Service: 4 - attentive and professional, food came out quick.
Food Quality & Freshness: 1 - bottom-tier quality ingredients hidden in heaps of vegetable oil. I think I feed my dog better food than what was served. Rice was old, wet, and mushy. Vegetables were old and dry.
Flavors: 1 - like most cheap asian fusion places pretending to do Thai, this place was blasting their dishes with oyster sauce, soy sauce, and lots of sugar to hide the low quality of the food and absence of cooking knowledge in the kitchen.
Plating: 3 - nothing special, nothing wrong.
Portion Size: 4 - good size
Price: 3 - very overpriced for the quality of what was received
Atmosphere: 0 - looks like someone's dirty closet from the 80s.
Location: 3 - decent but a little ghetto. Great parking nearby.
Total: 21/45 Score: F 46.6
If you want to try actual Thai food for comparison, go to US Thai near sloans lake or go downtown to Daughter Thai. You'll see that it's not even in the same playing field as...
Read moreI’ve been a long time customer at Jay’s Liang Thai Food cart on 16th street. I remember the first time I went there in 2012 and my mind being blown by how delicious the food was. I’m happy to report that the brick and mortar location in Broomfield is just as good!
I just came back from Thailand not too long ago and it’s been a great blessing but also a curse; I had a lot of amazing Thai food but now everything I’ve tried here just obviously doesn’t compare. Out of all the Thai places in Colorado, Liang’s comes closest to the real deal. The Thai Basil always hits the spot with such rich flavors and papaya salad is the same. Make sure to keep in mind that the Thai spice levels are true here (if you aren’t good at handling spice, definitely don’t go above a 3 on the 1-5 scale).
The service here was great as well. Our server was very attentive and made sure our water cups were never empty. Food came out at a reasonable time given how fresh everything tasted.
The restaurant is a bit on the smaller side and it can get loud with all the conversation going on but the food will make you forget your surroundings.
I am about to head there now to get my...
