We live near by and have wanted to try this restaurant, especially since the menu states the food has the finest ingredients. When I called and asked about the difference indicated on the menu between cheese and the queso. The person repeatedly stated everything was made with Anerican cheese. I explained that I am mexican and that Mexican dishes such as enchiladas are not made with American cheese. I had to ask her to go find out. She did and reported the enchiladas contained Munster cheese. My husband wanted to try this restaurant however when he picked up the order they did not have his fish tacos but neglected to let us know. He asked why they did not call us to let us know so we could have selected an alternative. The staff responded I thought we did. Nonetheless we all had dinner but my spouse did not. They did say "sorry" but did not compensate him. I mentioned when I ordered it was the first time we were ordering. I am disappointed, yes I realize that we are in a pandemic but was hoping I would find a good Mexican...
Read moreI was sooo disappointed. My first time trying Mr. Miguel's. I thought I was missing a bag of food because I got 2 huge bags of very greasy tortilla chips and the actual food was just dropped in Styrofoam containers looking like mush. I ordered a fundido with chips, it was a mess of liquid cheese and a couple of tablespoons of ground beef dumped in a styrofoam container and 1 huge bag of tortillas for $10.40 The guacamole was good but way overpriced, $13 for 12oz, whereas it shouldn't have cost no more than $5-7. It too came with a huge bag of greasy chips. "Deluxe"veggies consisted only of sauteed green peepers and onions put in the same styrofoam container as the wet burrito. The burrito was overpriced and no bigger than a regular sandwich, for$13.00. The "deluxe" veggies were $6.50. The rice and beans were ok, nothing special, for $5.20. Another problem was that the delivery menu is different from the restaurant menu. With Door Dash, I get the $11.50 for delivery and the added tip, but I would never recommend Mr. Miguel's,...
Read moreWe went to the Brownstown location for the first time for lunch. We were promptly greeted and sat down in a booth. The hostess then returned with chips and salsa. That was the last time anyone came to check on us, or take our order. A group of 4 sat down behind us and were promptly greeted and served by their server. Along with a group of 2 at a table across from us. At this point we were in the restaurant 10 minutes before both groups. We waited another 10 minutes before we left for lack of any service. We counted 3 servers and only 5 tables, including ours, being occupied. No excuse for the servers to be that inattentive.
UPDATE We followed up and decided to give Miguel's another try. I have to say it was a complete 180 from our first visit. I changed my original rating from a 1 to a 4 star. I would consider giving 5 stars if the quality remains in future visits. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Food, and atmosphere was...
