You won’t find Angelita’s Casa de CafĂ© on a top ten list, and it’s better that way. It's not the sort of place you stumble into on a quest for Wi-Fi and oat milk foam art. No. This place is for the ones who wander—not to escape, but to remember.

From the moment you step inside, it hits you—the smell of fresh coffee, buttery croissants warming in the oven, and some old lavender-scented floor cleaner that hasn’t changed since 1987.

It’s not so much a coffee shop as it is a memory. Books everywhere. Some stacked, some shelved, some just splayed open on tables like they gave up mid-thought. There's a worn leather sofa that practically begs you to take a nap, a floral loveseat that looks like it was rescued from a retirement sale, and mismatched chairs that creak like they’re telling stories of every backside that’s sat before you.

The croissant sandwiches are the unsung heroes here. Made with love and unapologetically messy—like your Tía Angelita herself might’ve slapped them together while gossiping over the morning news. Flaky croissants cradling fluffy eggs, sharp cheese, and just the right amount of crisp on the edges. And if you’re craving something gooey and a little indulgent, the grilled cheese bacon melt will make you believe in second chances. Golden toasted bread, thick slices of bacon, and a river of molten cheddar that sticks to your fingers and your soul.

The coffee? Strong, earthy, alive. Roasted fresh upstairs—you can smell it if you catch the air just right. There’s something beautiful about that: the beans still warm from the roaster above you, ground and brewed just steps from where they were born. No branding spiel, no tasting notes that read like poetry slam rejects. Just fresh, honest coffee that reminds you why you started drinking the stuff in the first place.

Music floats in and out, depending on the mood. Sometimes it’s boleros, sometimes it's old soul, and sometimes it’s just the hum of the ceiling fan and the lazy stretch of a stray cat named Frida sleeping under the counter.

There’s no rush here.  You order by talking to someone’s dad at the counter.

Angelita’s isn’t trying to impress you. It’s not curated. It’s not branded. It’s real. It’s the kind of place where you stay longer than you planned. Where you overhear strangers talk like family. Where you realize you’ve been carrying too much, for too long—and this place, somehow, lets you set it down for a while.

It won’t change your life. But it might remind you who you were before you got too busy trying to make one.

Places like this are rare. Don’t post about...

This cafe has lovely decor, and I am happy to support local businesses; however, I would not advise anyone with small children to go here as you will be reprimanded by staff if your child tends to be active. My colleagues were told that the toys in the cafe were not to be touched (extremely tempting for toddler - they are rubber duckies). And let me say this - the reprimands will not be done in a courteous manner. To paint a clearer picture, we were a group of 4 women and 4 children who met here. We all spent approximately $18 each (for an approximate value of $72). The venue itself had one other customer. My colleague’s son dropped some toys, and we immediately picked them up and were asked by staff to not use such messy toys - fair enough. Then kids were running around (totally unacceptable) but in the midst of calming them, we were approached again and told that “there needed to be some order here” to which my colleague replied “I apologize. I thought this was a child friendly area,” to which he replied, “it is but parents should learn to control their children.” With that said, we decided to leave, as it was clear that we were not in an appropriate area for children under five. I do want to say that there are better ways to go about situations like this by staff. I understand that they were perhaps overwhelmed with 4 children under 5 in their presence, but there was absolutely no need for this type of comment. This said, I do think this is a nice place for couples or singles to hang out. Also, the...

If you’re looking for the perfect coffee shop, look no further than Angelita’s. This place is nothing short of extraordinary! From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by the warm and inviting atmosphere. They’ve created a space that feels both cozy and charming, with a delightful little book corner that makes it hard to leave.

The variety of food and coffee is simply unmatched. Whether you’re in the mood for something classic or unique, they’ve got you covered. And let me tell you—the coffee here is the best I’ve ever had. Each cup is crafted with such care and precision. The staff don’t rush the process; instead, they take just enough time to ensure every drink is absolute perfection while still serving it quickly.

Speaking of the staff, they’re absolutely amazing! Friendly, personable, and genuinely passionate about what they do, they make you feel right at home. It’s clear they pour their hearts into every order, and it truly shows in the quality.

Angelita’s is more than just a coffee shop—it’s an experience. If you haven’t been, you’re missing out on something truly special. I can’t...

If you’re looking for a place to work or study at you’ve found the place! It’s so spacious and there’s connections for electronics everywhere. I can’t even begin on the coffee, their iced Mexican mocha is to die for. I had it with almond milk and it was delicious. The breakfast croissants were also amazing. The owner greets you with the “welcome home” so it’s the most comforting and local vibe. They have live music on the weekend sometimes as well. I 100% recommend it.
