Las Ramblas at Market Square — Restaurant in Brownsville

Upon arrival, we waited for someone to acknowledge us to take our order. We had been sitting for 10 minutes. i had to approach the hostess to ask for my order, she then said “ i thought someone already did” no one had approached my table since i arrived. We then ordered drinks with her, and waited 30 minutes after that…until they got to our table. There was only one other table in the restaurant aside from mine. Maybe if the bartender wasn’t on their phone, and actually making drinks we would have our drinks and be okay. Not very customer attentive today...

Well, what can I say. The atmosphere was pretty pleasant and the mixologists make a decent cocktail. The main issue that I have is the volume of the drinks. My wife had the smallest Margarita I have ever seen anywhere. My Old Fashioned was actually pretty good but for some reason or another, they don't believe in adding cherries to their cocktails...actually the mixologist said they don't add or have cherries for any of their drinks. A real-deal cocktail bar. Well-designed to promote guests mingling, but also has some nooks if you want to chat privately with friends. Cocktails are top-notch quality and pretty much as inventive as you can get for South Texas.
