Bland food and terrible service! Full story below if you're curious.
Me and my friend are in visiting family from out of town. Fam was busy working so we decided to run a few errands and wanted to stop and get breakfast and mimosas. Found this place, looked super cute. We walk in and are greeted with a smile, but they would ONLY seat 2 at a 2 top instead of the many other tables available. Okay, no problem. Our server (yami) came over with a blank expression on her face and asked what we wanted to drink. We said mimosas (cranberry tamarind and the tropical) and she asked for IDs. Okay normal, cool, here you go. Well my friend recently went to the dmv and got stuff changed so she had a paper with a cut license. Refused to serve her. I get that but its not like we are freshly 21. Said Okay no problem. Waited for sugar for her tea that never came and my water that never came. So we order and ask for those again (someone else brings it). I ask to add capers to my Avocado toast. Food comes out looks delicious. There's 7 capers... 7! So I ask for more and she brings out a pinch more. (Picture included) The presentation was very pretty, but my toast tasted like a bland crouton and my friends waffles were bland as well (until she ordered syrup, from someone not our waitress again, which they didn't ask if we wanted. It's a waffle come on) The server never came over to check on us or ask how our food was or if we needed anything else. I was going to order another mimosa, but never got the chance. We were done eating and our table was cleared off, and she still didn't check on us. I got her attention after she left the table directly beside us to get the checks. Now THOSE she brought immediately without wait, like she was pushing us out the door. She was very rude the whole time and I'm assuming she treated us this way because we were a tad under dressed? (We were not the only ones wearing shorts/leggins and a top that wasn't...
Read moreHorrendous experience! I went to order takeout, and while waiting for my order, I wanted to sit down at a table. I asked a waiter if I ordered a coffee for dining in if I could sit at a table, and he told me yes. I proceeded to sit down, and another server came and told me that takeout people cannot sit at a table, but she could put a chair somewhere else (next to a family who was very crowded), and I could sit down. I then told her I would order a coffee for dine-in so I could sit at a table, and she said that would be fine. I ordered my coffee with the waiter. I did not see that waiter, so I asked another one kindly if they could not add so much ice in my coffee if she could tell my waiter. Then I was told I need to order at the counter, and she would take my card and do it for me and said it ok I cannot go and order it, which the other waiter did not tell me I need to order in the counter! So I went and ordered my coffee. Finally my takeout comes out, and the owner brings it to me and tells me that the waiter told him I had been rude to her and that I did not want to get up from the table! I explained to him this was not the case and that is why I even bought a coffee apart from my takeout order. I felt so bad I cannot believe this is the way they treat customers who also are buying food. I explained to him I was never rude and even bought a coffee so I could sit down at a table. All this for a table and not to lose people that they forgot to treat customers kindly. Honestly, they lost one. I am so sad a local business treated me and discriminated against me just because I was not dining in. I hope they check the cameras and see how I am speaking the truth. I will pray you get better at treating customers who order takeout or have an area for people who are...
Read moreFood was good but service not so great. We went in yesterday and before we sat down my husband said “hello” to the girl that brought us the silverware. She didn’t respond back, she didn’t even said a word to us…nothing. No acknowledgment. Nada. It was our first time so we weren’t sure how the placed worked and we didn’t know that we had to order at the counter. So we just sat there for a couple of minutes thinking they were going to give us a menu. They saw us just waiting at our table and said nothing to us. It would have been good that our waiter would greeted us and explained that we had to order at the counter. Something like “hello! Welcome! Is this your first time? If so please order at the counter. If you need anything please let me know” like just basic service. While we were eating we noticed that another couple arrived and they experienced the same as us. They just were waiting at their table waiting for a menu while all the staff looked at them until minutes later they also realized they had to order at the counter. Experience would have been much better if you at least acknowledged customers.
When we needed something like salt the people that were at the counter were the ones actually helping us not...
