Mariscos Lauro Villar — Restaurant in Brownsville

First of all, the waiting area is extremely small. Second, waiters took 10 min after sitting us to take the order. Third, the floor was dirty. Fourth, let's say you order a plate of shrimp. You'd expect the plate to be about a third full of shrimp, maybe half and then the rest to be sides like the fries or fish. Well, you order a shrimp plate and you get about half a plate of salad, a fourth of fries, 2 basa fish, and 5 shrimps. That's right,(literally counting them on the plates we got) 5 shrimps. Not only do you not get what you expect but the food was cold for a plate you're paying $13....

Very poor service. The salsas at the table are in plastic squeeze bottles and tasted expired/rancid. When I told them about it, they brought me a different bottle that tasted the same. I asked the waitress for her recommendation and I took it. They brought my daughter's kid plate. Ten minutes later my wife's plate and never brought mine. I asked a manager passing by about it and he said he'd check on it. The waitress never put order in and claimed I never confirmed with her. Their Limonada is from a powdered mix and tastes horrible. Salvador was our server and he was amazing, very helpful, and gave us fast service. He was always looking out for the things we needed at the table. We were a party of 6 and the place was kind of busy but that didn't stop him from giving us fast and great service. Thank you Salvador for taking care of us!!! The seafood was delicious and very well served. We had appetizers and entrees and it was so affordable. My family and I will definitely go back to eat at this restaurant.
