Sora Sushi Fusion Bar — Restaurant in Brownsville

BAD! Seats/tables really awkward, food was BAD and mislabeled, service was slow despite being near empty, waiter wasn't good. Do not go here! Details, you say? We asked for lemon for the water, never came. We ordered edamame, it came out spicy not plain so the person who ordered it couldn't eat it. She told the waiter that she ordered plain, he became rude and threw it at her and walked away. I offered to take it from her, but it was INEDIBLE! You know that cheap, crappy chile con lime bars put around beer necks? That was what they had put on these ""spicy edamame". It was VILE! We sent the dish back. They also put FAKE LIME in their soy sauce, it was also inedible! Fried rice was bland and the meat was overcooked hard nodules scattered through it. Rolls did not come with everything in them listed in the menu, not very good and slow to arrive (even for sushi). Fried banana dessert used hard, green bananas such that it tasted more like plantain, NOT banana. We had to ask for checks after clearly waiting around for half an hour after the waiter removed dishes. DO NOT GO HERE, IT WAS A HOT MESS FROM...

Food is one star because we never got our entrees. Only appetizers. After more than an hour waiting in an empty restaurant (us and one other table), while watching door dasher after door dasher wait so long they were forced to decline their orders and walk away, we were told our order had just been put in. Meanwhile, they'd brought nothing out to the other table who was also waiting, and the wait staff was watching the kitchen staff screw around. So after some stern words with the staff, we paid for our drinks and apps and left. Needless to say, it was a very poor experience. Didn't help the place reeked of old grease (I know. In a sushi joint. Makes NO sense.) And they were also blasting Ariana Grande's greatest hits non-stop. Nothing against Miss Grande, but she certainly didn't add to the atmosphere. She only detracted. The food was so bad. I ordered the gyoza and it tasted like beans. It was super soft with no crunch like it had been reheated or not even prepared here. I also ordered edamame and it was maybe lukewarm, some of it was even cold. I ordered the tuna avocado roll and the sora special. The tuna avocado roll was somewhat edible, it had no flavor. It was made bad and you could barely call it sushi. More than half the roll was just avocado on top, only a couple of the slices had tuna on top. The Sora Special was so bad. The stuff on top made me gag. When we spoke to the manager about maybe reducing our bill because we barely ate anything (we maybe ate 10% of the food), she treated us with attitude, and made us feel like we were entitled and stupid for asking.
