The wait staff was amazing overall. My only complaint is that I wanted the enchiladas rojas and requested no tomatoes, without asking for anything to be added. Ten minutes later, they told me that this counted as a substitution. That whole situation left a bitter taste in my mouth. I won’t be returning—there are restaurants in the Bryan–College Station area that treat their customers much better.
Edit:
Omg, I loved this response. So, I’m actually from Guerrero, and my grandmother is from Michoacán. Never did I think that removing tomatoes would be considered offensive to my culture but I’ll definitely take that into consideration. I’ll gladly apologize to my mom.
Honestly, there was no need to involve the manager. That just shows a misunderstanding of the word substitution, because nothing was actually substituted. But hey, you do you. Not everyone knows to use the dictionary for correct definitions. As someone from Guerrero, I can say the menu is not very Guerrero-inspired . But I guess you pick your battles. Lastly, the meal I did get was the tacos. The steak was bland, the pieces were massive, and the grilled onions and pepper weren’t even grilled or cooked. Very disappointing, especially since that was the first dish I had been excited to order from your online menu. It...
Read moreWe arrived at about 5:50 on first Friday and tried to get a table for 7 people. Despite the space being half empty as it was early, and them not accepting reservations, we were told we would have to wait until the entire party arrived to be seated. A manager confirmed this policy. Two of our party had some car issues and had texted they would be a half hour late. We tried to get them to work with us, but they said no small table could be added later and we absolutely could not sit until all parties arrived. No food at the bar. Either tell your friends to not bother coming or wait. We offered to order their food with our order, pay for their spots etc. no go. We waited another 20 mins and they finally sat us a few minutes before the last two arrived, and then a waiter wouldn’t come until the final people arrived. I understand wanting to not take up tables unnecessarily or for an extra long time on first Friday, but this was terrible customer service, we were all very hungry and we ate and left quickly. We also saw people join parties late during our time there so perhaps this policy only applied to us. The food was delicious, but I would never advise bringing more than a few people or meeting up with friends there. The service and policies greatly dimmed...
Read moreDELICIOUS! Three adults in our party, and we all shared a molcajete and a chicken/beef fajita. Two of us ordered frozen margaritas, and they were ample and the best I’ve had for a while. The food was definitively among the best Mexican food any of us have ever had. Even the chips and salsa were above ordinary. The food was extremely flavorful without being overpoweringly spicy. I can have negative issues with spicy foods, but I did well with this food. The only reason I gave atmosphere a four was because their chairs are very uncomfortable especially if you are a larger built person. They are very tight bistro style chairs; very tight on your hips and uncomfortable on your back. My only recommendation if a manager/owner reads this is lose the tight chairs and get plain, high backed chairs. For customer information purposes, the meal I described above with an iced tea and two margaritas came to about $77 including tip, and this establishment does charge a 3% fee for credit card payments, so bring cash if you can. (Not sure about debit cards) My husband noted prices were a bit higher than most Mexican restaurants, but we also agreed that we felt we got what we paid for in truly exceptional Mexican food. We will be...
