I walked by here every Sunday for 2 years to go to Farm Patch. Loved reading the historical significance of the place, but the first year, didn't realize they were actually a functioning/serving place. A was driving by 1 day and i see alotta cars in the lot and say hey, let's check it out. Talk about a dive place, this is it!! But it is ABSOLUTELY the best in town. Ribs are smoked to perfection. I'm not a brisket fan but the owner suggested some different parts to try and now I'm sold (bits and ends, BTW). And the German Potato Salad!!!! d-LISH!! Right now hours are even more condensed due to COVID, Tue-Fri, noon-5, and they just opened up where ya can dine inside again. From the outside the place looks decrepit, the inside i think hasn't seen an upgrade ever which helps make it even better all around. This place is truly a real gem and am SSsOoo glad I've encountered them, hope you will, too, otherwise, you're...

All the positive reviews have to be paid for. I so want to like this place, but it's really awful. I gave it another chance recently and it was comical how bad the service was. The place was mostly empty, but every table had dirty dishes on it and in the 2 hours I was there not one table was cleared. The waitress was the most uninspired worker I've ever seen. I cleared my own table so I could have a place to sit. It took half an hour for the waitress to take my order and another forty minutes to get our food. It's BBQ for Pete's sake! All you have to do is serve it up. It's not like they're cooking it to order! The quality of the BBQ was like something you would buy in the grocery store. I tried to show all the dirty tables in the attached picture. I've never seen anything like it. This is the poorest run...

Came here with high hopes because my friend swore this was the best barbecue he’s ever had in his life. That being said, he hasn’t been in Bryan for 10 years. The brisket was possibly the worst I’ve ever had, the ribs were almost the worst I’ve ever had. Both overcooked, tough, and cool to the touch. The fries were decent frozen curly fries, the okra was actually great and the sausage was mids. The sausage and the sides saved this place from getting 1star. The ambience was everything you want in a hole in the wall hidden gem. It was smoky from the smoker inside and the decor was as if I stepped into a Time Machine to the 60’s or 70’s. Loved the atmosphere...

Don't get in a hurry if you go here to eat. Small mom and pop place with a lot of history. The service is very slow but the sides are fresh so maybe that is what takes a while. I enjoyed the setting and the food decently food overall. The ribs were really good. I'd say better than the brisket. The brisket was good but a little dry. Thankfully they had some good sauce on the brisket to make up for it. Overall the flavor was good but I've had better brisket in Texas. I'd recommend taking in the history but just prepare to be here a while.

Wife and I drove from Fort Worth to eat here. Come for the food and slow leisure meal. Started in 1925, now working on 4th generation. This is also a history lesson of how it was and still is. Menu has a large selection of meats 🍖 and sides. Try a cold lone star with it. We had cole slaw, french fries, and beans. Cole slaw not soupy or bitter, french fries were hot and beans well seasoned. Meats were fresh, hot, and cooked perfect. Check hours before going. A perfect way to end the day.
