Speak Easy Coffee Shop is a hidden gem that truly lives up to its name, offering a delightful retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. From the moment you step inside, the warm and inviting ambiance wraps around you like a comforting embrace, setting the stage for an extraordinary culinary experience.

I indulged in their vanilla latte, a heavenly concoction that perfectly balanced the rich espresso with the delicate sweetness of vanilla. Each sip was a symphony of flavors, leaving me utterly enchanted.

For my granddaughter, I ordered the kids' French toast, which was an absolute delight. The toast was golden and crispy on the outside, yet soft and fluffy on the inside, topped with a generous dusting of powdered sugar and a drizzle of maple syrup. It was a breakfast fit for royalty and brought a smile to her face with every bite.

The breakfast bagel was a masterpiece of culinary art. I opted for an everything bagel, toasted to perfection, and substituted the smoked ham with their in-house smoked turkey. The combination of mixed greens, tomato, and cream cheese elevated this dish to new heights. Each mouthful was a harmonious blend of flavors and textures that left me craving for more.

The staff was attentive and friendly, the atmosphere cozy yet vibrant, and the food... oh, the food was nothing short of spectacular. Food is great....but the owner was extremely rude to a grocery delivery man for no reason in front of me and my husband. We also thought it was a little unprofessional to have groceries delivered during business hours. Unfortunately due to owners behavior towards the delivery man we won’t be back or recommend to anyone. The way you treat people matters, especially when you’re running a business 😖☹️

Edit: after seeing the post from “owner” Michael I would like to add that no I did not think the groceries were for his home use?? What? Just have never seen a business have groceries delivered during business hours through the front doors.

And regardless, he was very rude to the delivery guy. Complaining and whining about where the groceries where being placed, and had a real attitude. When in reality the delivery guy was doing everything to try and make the owner happy. Some people can’t be pleased. Guess there IS a reason people record everything now a days. If you like food done right, then this is the place. This is not your run of the mill café food, but unique dishes individually crafted with flavor in mind. The term "umami" comes to mind with each bite. Each item on the menu fits this description. In my opinion Speakeasy is great food first and great coffee second. Speakeasy does coffee right with your standard coffee drinks (americano, pour over, mocha) as well as speciality drinks (cafe con miel, mayan mocha). The price point is above average, but the above average food is worth the price. The atmosphere is comfortable, but energetic. The music that softly plays in the background is not coffeehouse piano, but generally soft rock. The seating is comfortable and well accommodates larger parties (4-6).
