This is a review of the “Super Burrito”, which use to be 5 star.
I have been coming to Taqueria Queretaro nearly every Saturday since it first opened many years ago. The original location Taqueria Azteca is on Hwy 5 in Benton. I went there before this location was opened. I was told the original owner of Azteca opened this location but then sold it and the new owner changed the name to Queretaro.
Every since I began coming here, the “Super Burrito” has lived up to it’s name. A large burrito filled with a generous amount of meat, rice, and beans and an onion/cilantro mixture. About 2 months ago I went in and the portion size was about half of what it has always been. I chalked it up to the new person working the counter preparing it. But then the next few times I have gone in, it has been the same smaller than normal portions, about 1/2 the meat, rice and beans. Then today I go in and not only were meat and bean portion less, the rice was about 1/4 the normal amount. There was more tortilla than filling.
At this point the $7.25 “Super Burrito” has become a child size burrito and in my opinion no longer worth the price. I believe I will drive a little further and go back to the original location on Hwy 5 across from Harps and check out the original Azteca location and see if the title “Super burrito” still...
Read moreTaqueria Queretaro is a small, family-owned Mexican restaurant, and has been serving up authentic Mexican cuisine for over 20 years. It is a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
The menu at Taqueria Queretaro is simple but delicious. The focus is on fresh, made-to-order tacos, burritos, and other Mexican favorites. The tacos are particularly good, and the restaurant offers a wide variety of fillings to choose from, including carne asada, pollo asado, carnitas, and barbacoa. The burritos are also large and filling, and they come with your choice of rice, beans, and salsa.
In addition to tacos and burritos, Taqueria Queretaro also serves a variety of other Mexican dishes, such as enchiladas, quesadillas, and fajitas. The restaurant also has a full bar, where you can order margaritas, beer, and wine.
The atmosphere is casual and relaxed. The restaurant is small and intimate, and it's the perfect place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and they are always happy to help you choose the perfect meal.
If you're looking for a delicious and authentic Mexican meal, then this is the place for you. The food is fresh, the prices are reasonable, and the service is excellent. You won't be...
Read moreThis food is disgusting. It’s a buffet and as a person from a Spanish background, this is gross. It has no flavor at all. I’ve had food truck food better than this restaurant. I had the Chile verde and there was no taste other than pork roast. The beans look like watered-down pinto bean soup, not like refried beans at all. The “spicy salsa” had no once of flavor or spice. I spoke in English and Spanish to ask for our order, I requested chips and salsa, extra salsa verde, and cheese dip in both Spanish and English. She pretended to understand, and nodded in agreement. We received nothing but our basic food order. The worker did not understand us, try to understand either dialect, or even indicate that she did not understand. This was just absolutely disgusting, terrible, poor service and we will never be back. However, if you enjoy pretend “authentic” food, feel free to indulge on their pathetic tasteless high school cafeteria attempt. And if you so choose; please also enjoy a $45 price tags for two adults and one child to eat disgusting cafeteria pretend original tasteless food in a...
