Hey friends! I am the bartender at CJ Maggie's! I have noticed that there has been some confusion because here on Google it says that we are not open for dine-in, however; we absolutely ARE OPEN FOR DINE-IN! Apparently the only way to change this is for our customers to make posts through Google.
We are being very respectful and cautious of COVID-19. Our seats in the bar are spaced 6 feet apart and the restaurant seating is at 50% capacity. All of our staff are wearing face masks and gloves, which are changed as required. Our staff are constantly cleaning, sanitizing, and diligently working together to keep their work environment and your dinning environment safe! Our county health inspector drops by regularly and checks everything out to be sure that all rules and guidelines are being followed by all staff members. We definitely want to keep our guests and staff safe and happy!
Also, we are serving our full menu! Starters, salads, sandwiches, pizzas, calzones, pastas, Tex Mex, and a wide variety of dinner dishes! If you still have room or have a sweet tooth that needs to be satisfied, there are 5 simply devilish desserts! There are so many delicious dishes, how could we possibly chose to eliminate anything, even only temporarily?
Our bar is open for seating Monday - Saturday, from 4 until close! We have bottles and drafts, four of our drafts are craft beer! Two from Big Timber, their Blonde and their Porter, and two from The Mountain State Brewing Company, their Almost Heaven Amber Ale and their Cold Trail Blonde Ale! Our wine selection is Woodbridge wines, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, and White Zinfandel. We also offer a Pink Moscato from Barringer. We have a wide selection of liqour for any cocktail that will definitely enhance your dinning experience and don't forget to ask about The Drink of the Month!
I hope this was helpful that we will be seeing more of our fabulous guests very soon! Keep...
Read moreBeing new to the area, C.J. Maggie's was highly recommended by m y local friends. I decided to go try it out for lunch. I ordered the Hog Belly sandwich, which is served on Hearth bread with Provolone cheese. The 1/2 lb of mouth watering slow roasted pork on a Hearth bun. The pork is slow roasted everyday and the recipe is kept secret, known only by those that are responsible for its preparation. The BBQ sauce that comes with it is also homemade every day. The BBQ sauce has a wonderful spiciness without being overwhelming as well as a slightly sweet taste. This BBQ sauce should be bottled and sold, it would fly off the shelf. A menu is posted outside so you can see the great selection and variety of delicacies that are offered. I already knew what I was going to order before I was seated. My sandwich arrived quickly and the pork was hot and juicy. The decor is classic Appalachian and is very warm and welcoming. My server asked me how my meal was and if there was anything else that I needed every time she walked by and offered me a "to go" glass of tea when I was finished with my meal. Prices were very affordable for the portion size. I am looking forward to going back and trying something else from their menu The only negative thing that I have to say is there is no internet access available inside the restaurant, I have Verizon as my internet provider. This is not the fault of C.J. Maggie's, all along Main Street Buckhannon, WV, there was no service for internet, text messaging and even cell service was VERY sporadic (take 1 step and your call may drop). On the positive side of this, you can have a conversation about the amazing food, the ambience and the...
Read moreI would give this restaurant a 0 rating if it was possible. Several of the BBQ teams that participated in the Almost Heaven BBQ Bash held in Buckhannon on 6/20/15 decided to go there for dinner that evening. There were 22 of us looking for someplace to have some good food and a few drinks with friends. Obviously we went to the wrong place. They placed us in a private room on a separate floor from the main dining room. We were told by a person outside of this restaurant that this is supposed to be their 'party room', but apparently that term only applies if you are having a tea party or other similarly quiet and sober occasion. We had only had time for one round of drinks when the waitress came in and told us that the manager had said that we were no longer allowed to have any liquor. When asked, we were told it was because we were being too loud and obnoxious. I will admit that we may have been loud, but would it have been so hard to simply ask us to tone it down? We weren't even given a chance. Nothing at all had been said to us prior to us being told we could no longer have anything but beer. We tried to talk to the manager, but he wasn't interested in anything any of us had to say, and in fact was incredibly rude and got a very nasty attitude towards us. He told us bluntly that he didn't want our business, so we will honor his wishes and make sure that neither we, nor anyone we know, ever steps foot in his...
