We went in for dinner for our first time and there were 3-4 tables already occupied. The waitress seemed overwhelmed and trying her hardest to take care of customers. My husband had ordered the sausage parmigian and I, the Chicken Marsala. There was no soup of the day, so salads were brought out ( the choice was soup or salad). I had the house dressing which was herbs, olive oil and a nice balsamic, my husband had ranch. Bread knots were delivered and were delicious. Then the entrees. The sausage parmigian came out the with large side of spaghetti. The Chicken Marsala come in a bowl with chicken pieces or chunks over pasta in a thin soupy sauce that tasted nothing like Marsala. Unfortunately, all I could taste was garlic.
We flagged down the waitress who asked if I had it before and I told her of course, I'm of Italian decent, before she quickly clarified if I had it at the restaurant before. We stated no, it was our first visit to this establishment. She then offered spaghetti with meat sauce, I quickly scanned the menu as she suggested a kids portion of pasta and I chose marinara. The waitress informed us that we would not be charged for the child's portion of pasta.
The waitress dropped our check on the table, without any chance for us to request dessert. The check included the original Chicken Marsala which was not removed from the bill. When my husband protested that we should not have to pay for food that was inedible, the waitress went to speak to the owner, who was in the kitchen. She returned to the table stating that the owner said "he would take care of your dinner, goodbye." Never in my 58 years and all the restaurants I have dined in have I been treated as I was tonight. I left a $5 bill on the table and left. We would have been happy to pay for my husband's entree and my pasta, but that was not a choice given to us.
I am sure I would feel welcome in this establishment again. What a way to be welcomed...

Read moreOrdered the sicilian pizza, was told it would take over half hour to get, which was fine at the time. We got our initial drink order, hubby got tea and had to wait too long for a refill, my water had a funny taste to it, couldn't drink it. Pizza came, no silverware or napkins. Told hubby to get some napkins from behind him at the take out counter. Waitress came by and asked how it was, told her pizza was overdone and her reply was thats what happens when you get that type of pizza. Had no flavor to it. Hubby ate after putting parmesan cheese on it. I on the other hand went home hungry. Waitress asked if we wanted a box, of coarse we did. I would rather take it home and throw it away then leave it with how expensive it was. Tried it again the next day hoping it tasted better the second day but it didn't. I doubt we go back. I will add that the waitress was somehow an owner because she said the recipes were her grandmothers. Poor service...
