Luna Grill Buena Park — Restaurant in Buena Park

UPDATE 2: They finally reached out on July 11th. Offered to send me a complimentary card. Asked for my address and everything. Haven't received anything in the mail like I was told I would be. Customer Service is lacking greatly here. I would've been much happier with no response from the company rather than them attempting to "make things right" by not following through on anything.

UPDATE: Sent that email to guest relations as instructed by the business. Haven't heard anything back. Why ask me to reach out if you're not actually going to do anything about it....

The husband and I decided to try Luna Grill out for dinner. Unfortunately, it didn't meet our expectations.

We both got the gyro and chicken plate with 2 sides. The gyro was cooked inconsistently, and parts were dry or burnt. Very few pieces were actually good. The rice was inconsistent. Most of it was overcooked. The chicken was the best part. Juicy and very flavorful.

We also ordered grape leaves. They were overwhelmingly lemony. Difficult to eat or taste anything other than lemon.

I was also charged for a side of spicy garlic feta sauce. I was not told it was an extra charge. It also was also missing.

I'm sorry but now that I am home, I have to edit my review. Tonight was the third time that I have visited this eatery this week, and just visiting this eatery period, as I have never been here before. I can say I am disappointed in my meal this evening. I ordered food for my family and myself. Everything is fine just as it has been the other two visits, with the exception of my meal. Tonight, I ordered a chicken pita with avocado and my side choice is fries. The fries are not good at all. I regret getting them, I should have chosen rice or a salad. To make matters worse, I ordered my pita with avocado, as the option was given to me by the person taking my order, and I paid for avocado, but there is no avocado in my pita. So I paid for something that I was not given. So my meal is not the best, as half of it is not good, the fries, and I'm missing my avocado. Hopefully, the chicken pita itself is good. We had a great experience at Luna Grill! The food overall was delicious — a big highlight for us was definitely the spicy hummus. It had the perfect kick and was full of flavor. The shrimp was slightly on the salty side, but still very tasty and well-cooked. My family rated their meals an 8/10 — the only critique was that the meat had a bit too much pepper, but it was still nicely seasoned and enjoyable.

Customer service was excellent — the staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout our visit. The only thing that kept this from being a five-star review was the cleanliness of the dining area. The floors could’ve used a quick sweep, and a few tables needed to be wiped down.
