I didn't take picture of the food but in regards to quality everything was good. Today I tried the fish fry(brought it home) garlic parmesan wings and the black and bleu burger. In regards to taste everything was on average 7/10. The burger being a low seven due only to the overwhelming taste of the bleu cheese. If you like that kind of thing, (my bf found it a 9/10) then it's for you. The patty itself has crumbles of bleu cheese mixed in but doesn't take away from the patties moisture which is great but to get it to melt you end up with a well done(juicy) patty. Fries served with it were standard.
They had blackbird hard cider(black label) which is hard to find so 10/10 on drink choices.
So. We came on a friday specifically for the fish fry. They offer it 3 different ways and we got the beer battered. The fish is huge. I mean entire plate huge (if you've gone to wayside then you understand what I mean). However it was very dark, the waitress stated this was due to the beer but it must've been a very dark beer. Mines was only alittle greasy however my sisters was covered in it. Enough so that the waitress asked if she just wanted napkins. She enjoyed the fish itself(strangely devoid of any greasiness or burnt taste) but couldn't stand the taste of the batter itself. She enjoys beer and said it was just too greasy. Mines the little that I ate was a good 8/10.
This is our second time there and it was on a friday night so it was incredibly loud. Music is good. Wait staff is ok in terms of time.
All in all a...
Read moreStopped in for an early dinner, It wasn't overly busy and we were seated right away. There were 5 of us. Food overall was average. •2 ordered the PB&J Bacon burger. 1 burger looked great, had a good portion of the jam, etc. The other burger was almost dry. •2 of us ordered appetizer-type food. Mozzarella sticks served with flavorless cold marinara sauce and Poutine fries, most of the fries were overcooked and hard. •5th person ordered a BLT which the bread was so toasted it was rock hard, cutting into his mouth with each bite.
The service was horrible. The waitress brought one of our party the wrong beer. The rest of us sat with empty glasses because she never came back to check on our table even though she walked by our table at least 2 dozen times each time avoiding eye contact and ignoring our attempts to get her attention to get refills. She would walk right past our table to help the table next to ours or through the doorway behind us which I assume led to the kitchen.
Would we go back...Mixed feelings on that. The food that was made right, tasted great(unfortunately only 1 of 5 had no issues with meal) the service on the other hand was basic at best. No one received a refill on their drinks nor anything else...
Read moreThis has a 3 star rating solely on my first experience. I want it to be noted it has room for improvement and I'd give it another shot. Service was very slow (granted I went to an Irish bar on a Saturday night in South Buffalo) but the waitress never properly introduced herself and never gave me my change back from my bill. My bill came to $27 and some change and I left $30. I'm not getting all worked up over that small amount of change, it's more so a principle thing for me. So instead that was her low tip which could've been higher. I should've left what would've been her tip with the kind bouncer named Sammy. He took better care of me than she did, heck Sammy had to pry her to come to my table. The beef on weck wings are a must try and those alone are why I'm giving this place 3 stars, had they sucked I'd be giving it 1 star and never would return. Like I said I'm willing to give this place a second shot, just not on a...
