Visiting Buffalo, I stumbled upon a little art district called Allentown. Went to the state fair & didn’t stay long enough. ⭐️⭐️⭐️Residence Inn Marriott Downtown Buffalo stay was a roomy and comfortable. @Marriott Bonvoy #buffalo #allentowndistrict #travelperx #bookwithme

Had a trip planned to go see both sides of the Falls and continue on up to Toronto.  After doing our research ( pictures and reviews) everything lead us to choosing  the Residence Inn Downtown for our stay in Buffalo.  We liked the location. It didn't feel like Downtown as there were a lot of very nice row houses nearby. The common areas were nice and very clean. We stayed on the 7th floor so we had probably the best possible view from this hotel. Our room was large enough for our needs and it was clean...which is not to common these days. We usually wipe everything down upon arrival for our own covid precautions, and we picked up very little dust or dirt, so big plus to the cleaning staff. The breakfast is not on the embassy suites level but the area is very well stocked with options. If ever in the area again ( hopefully) this location would be our choice.

Never been to Buffalo and the room was booked for me. I was a little concerned because most hotels with “downtown” in their title are usually sub-par experiences for me. I stayed on the 6th floor and had a business suite. It had everything! Full fridge, a small dishwasher, a double burner cooktop and a full microwave. So if you wanted to cook your own meal you could. The cabinets were full with lots and pans, dishes, bowls, glasses and silverware. The kitchen even had a cutting board. The was a sleeper sofa and a king size bed that was incredibly comfortable. The pillows weren’t good however. They were puffy, until your head hit them. Almost like that bag of chips you buy and only a quarter of the bag was filled. There was a good size LED Lg TV 50” I think. A large work desk facing the large window that had a great view of the area. The full bathroom was huge for a hotel room. Showers was massive and the shower head wasn’t installed below my head like most places. I’m over 6’ tall so that really matters for me. I could stand beneath the shower without ducking down. I also never ran out of hot water. The strangest thing about the room was that there was no security safe. There was a 2 drawer built in dresser but the bottom drawer didn’t open because of the bathroom door hinge blocked it lol. I used the gym multiple times during my 2 week stay. It was always clean and there was a disinfectant spray bottle to use on the equipment. There was also a no touch water fountain that I used to fill my water jug for my workouts. There was a small but nice indoor pool that I never used. I used the guest laundry room, and the machines were free! I couldn’t believe it! I was doing laundry as much as I could because I under packed for this trip. There was a pretty nice outdoor fire pit with a place to fire up a propane BBQ grill if you wanted to. There was a free breakfast with scramble eggs, bacon, fruit, cereals, muffins and pastries. Plenty of individual yogurts and a juice dispenser. The best part was the full sized Starbucks store in the lobby. I was there every day. The hotel is within walking distance to many great local restaurants and a mile away from the Elmwood neighborhood which has shops and plenty of local eateries. Other than the terrible pillows, this was surprisingly one of my best hotel...

Our hotel room was well appointed and spacious, but I hesitate to stay again or to recommend it to friends. It didn't seem that the room had been cleaned properly before my family checked in. My two very young daughters found a menstrual pad under the ottoman. There was crushed popcorn and a college alumni baseball cap in the sleeper sofa. None of the trash cans had bags in them. Worst of all, there were someone else's hairs in the shower, both on the shower floor and walls. (Everyone in my family is brunette; these hairs were greenish dyed blonde). Overall I did not feel comfortable allowing my children to use the shower. I did mention these complaints to the desk representative but was not offered an apology, nor a discount or voucher. Another thing -- you know that families stay in this hotel. Why not have some rooms with tubs? My three year old would have had a hard time being bathed in a standing shower, even if I had felt confident about its cleanliness. It was also quite odd that someone had painted over the preexisting shower tiles on the walls with thick white paint. I hope that paint is rated for shower use. Moving on, you knew when we made the reservation that four people would be staying in this room. That's not unusual for a king suite with a pull-out sofa. Why, then, were there only two bath towels? Finally, I recommend having an attendant present at the continental breakfast. During my stay, cups upon cups of waffle batter piled up on the counter top. There should have been someone conducting constant clean up, for food handling safety's sake. There should also have been a small refrigerator for the hard boiled eggs, butter, and cheeses. These things cannot be safely consumed after being left out for hours at room temperature. I had a hard time finding items that I deemed safe for my children's consumption and ended up having to purchase breakfast for them elsewhere. Overall, the hotel was beautiful, but...

Room was nice and big and comfortable but my problem is the miscommunication between the staff and the rude attitudes. I arrived at 530 am and was told check out was at 12 am. I received a call to my room for a confirmation for another room and I told them that was false and I'm checking out this same night and to cancel that. I left around 1030 pm and came back because I forget jewelry and was told by the front desk that I had another night and I informed them again I did not and to cancel it. The next morning I received a call stating that I was being charged for 2 nights because I over stayed my welcome and I would be put on the do not rent list. This rude lady told me I should've left at 12pm the same day that I arrived and my stay was only for 6 hrs I then stayed that made zero sense because house keeping would've arrive to clean my room and I had room service for television problems and they would've informed me that I had to come down and pay in advance and that I worked for Springhill suites for 2 years so I know the lady then told me that my check out was at 12 pm the day after I arrived and that I needed to upload the remainder balance to pay for the room or I'll be on a do not rent list I once again proved her wrong with her own contradictions and she called me an idiot and hung up in my face either this is a freaking scam or you guys have zero hospitality experience and hire anyone. Called back to speak to management hung up again I wonder will I ever get my 100 fee back . YOU GUYS NEED MAJOR CUSTOMER...
