Wonder Coffeehouse — Restaurant in Buffalo

Let me preface this review with the reason I deducted one star - location. I am not from the area, when GPS took me to a warehouse district near a large food plant, I thought for sure I was lost. It wasn't an easy area to navigate, but I am glad I stayed on the path to Wonder Coffeehouse. We arrived at a small coffeehouse with a drive thru with the smell of Cheerios around the corner.

We went through the drive thru since it was raining. The menu was a little difficult to read, but my husband and I have fairly generic coffee orders. We get vanilla lattes, and I substitute almond milk when available which it was at Wonder. If you don't like coffee, you can also get shakes with additions like protein.

The showstopper at Wonder are the 'little wonders.' We had no idea what to expect when I spontaneously added a 1/2 dozen to our order. And I was pleasantly surprised to open the box to 6 little dough ball wonders. The taste of the dough reminds me of a donut/funnel cake. The 1/2 dozen was an assortment of toppings with some covered in cereal. What a lovely breakfast experience.

We were not able to eat all six at once, but I will add that even two days later these little wonders still tasted fresh, though not warm. I would encourage visiting Wonder Coffeehouse if not for your morning coffee, but the unique waffle wonders that do...

Drive through leige waffles!! Ordered a "Captain Obvious" and, "I mean, Duh." Captain obvious is waffle+syrup, eggs and bacon. The waffle was really well done. If you've never had leige waffles this is a good place to start! They're denser, chewier, and sweeter than the waffles you're used to. The egg was fried, no runny yolk and they didn't ask how I wanted it. The bacon was very good. My only real problem was the syrup which was the fake maple flavored corn syrup. I did really enjoy my breakfast.

"I Mean, Duh" is fruit (choice of strawberry or banana or both), waffle, Nutella and whipped cream. Very good. We also order a plain waffle which was very good on its own with absolutely no toppings.

The service was excellent. Very friendly and helpful. Served as a drive through, felt very hygenic and conscientious of the times. Very reasonably priced.

We drove the very short distance to Buffalo Harbor State Park and ate everything picnic styl, sitting by the water. Last nit-pick... It would have been nice to have knives in the bag? But...

Heard a lot of good things, even the reviews are overall good. Location is ok, atmosphere is nice. Building itself is really cool. Ordered the Captain Obvious for breakfast with a large coffee. The coffee was above average and had a great price. Breakfast was $9 for the plate. When it arrived I literally asked the people I was with if it was fair food....one small waffle, one slice of cheap bacon, and a fried egg. The waffle was a little dry and without much flavor. Average as far as waffles go, but nothing to write home about. The bacon was thin and overcooked. The kind you get at Save A Lot on sale as a manager special. Egg was fine, hard to screw that up. They advertise 6 waffles for $20. I think for 9 they could do a little better with the Capt. Obvious. No offense is meant, just my...
