KeyBank Center — Attraction in Buffalo

KeyBank Center is a multi use arena located in the heart of Downtown Buffalo and home to the Buffalo Sabres (NHL), Buffalo Bandits (NLL), 1st & 2nd Round of March Madness, Concerts, Comedy & much more. Overall the arena does not have a bad seat in the house. The start of the 2021-22 season, marked a new Era where the arena is cashless and must use plastic for all transactions. Even when you are trying to buy a ticket at the box office, they will try sending it to your phone if you provide them a phone number compared to a paper ticket. They can still do paper but they try avoiding it at all cost. Security check point is fast and easy with team members checking bags prior to walking through metal detectors. (NO BAGS OR PURSES just a FYI) As for shops, the main shop is the Sabres Store located on ground level prior to passing through security check point and scanning your ticket. If you are a season ticket holder for either the Sabres or Bandits, make sure you tell the cashier and show proof to receive your discount. Once past Security, there are much smaller retail outlets located at the top of the escalators for both Buffalo Sabres/Bandits games. In the event of a Bandits game, you can only get merchandise at the Sabres Store or these two outlets at the top of the escalators as the other merchandise outlets throughout the concourses are closed unless attending a Sabres game. Food options are all over, but nothing special. They have your typical arena food from burgers, pizza, chicken tenders.....many local favorites. Like many arenas, over priceds for what you get but you won't go hungry if you are looking for something. Restrooms are clean and plentiful but are showing signs of once having better days. Wait times are not bad but can become long primarily for the female restrooms in between periods/quarters. Staff is great, extremely helpful and alert to safety needs. Pegula Sports and Entertainment does a great job attracting top shows to the venue, while updating amenities for guest enjoyment.

Overall the facility is in great shape and a great family filled environment. With a hotel (Marriott Harbor Center) attached the the facility and a parking garage at each end of the arena, it makes for a quick easy access in and out of...

This was my first time in the Key bank center, this was a Home game and my first Hockey Game. With that being said, let me get into the pros and cons of my experience. I think you'll find one category grossly out weighs the other. I'll start with the cons. Let me start by saying my seats were incredible. I sat in an area reserved for season ticket holders, (this ticket was a gift from my friend). The seat was lovely, although the Arena staff coming to check to make sure no one stole a seat made me a tad uncomfortable. Although I'm aware they were simply doing their job. I'd say about every 20mins someone would walk up to the front and scan the seats. Honestly, I think the only reason I even noticed was because I was so close to them in proximity, and I get very easily distracted😅. Honestly the staff were very kind and quite efficient. I just get nervous when I feel I'm being starred at. As for the Pros of this whole experience. Entering the arena, I had NO clue where to go, after the staff scanned my ticket, they were more than helpful, they helped me find the quickest way to my section, once I found my section, the entryway staff was more than happy to help me find my row entrance and once I reach the correct entrance, the seating staff was more than patient in helping me find my seat! A three step process executed gracefully thanks to the lovely staff at Key Bank Center! The game was incredible (and yes The Buffalo Sabres won), the Arena was the cleanest I'd seen, the atmosphere was actually quite hilarious, Hockey fans crack me up 😂. This has got to be one of the best places I have ever seen!! a concert!! The three of us we're up front vip for cody johnson!! We had the most amazing time from staying at the hotel. Connected to the KeyBank center from being at the Key Bank center to the bar. The restaurants and everything in between was absolutely awesome. We had the best time at the hotel. We had the best time at the Key Bank center. We had the best time. Everywhere we went in and around outside the Key Bank center. We have absolutely no complaints. This was one of the best concerts we have ever seen, and we would not have asked for it to be anywhere else you all know what you're doing.!! The valet parking was absolutely awesome. The hotel was awesome.The whole entire venue was absolutely awesome!! There is plenty of parking in all kinds of ways for everyone bathrooms everywhere. Handicapped parking everywhere. This place is just so great. All the staff is friendly, awesome security, very secure and safe. Everywhere you go around this place, tons of places to eat and everything is so cheap. Of course, it's gonna be a little higher inside the venue, but that's normal. You get what you pay for absolutely unforgettable moment. We cannot wait to come back.!!
