I recently had the pleasure of visiting Ballyhoo in Buffalo, and I must say, it was an experience I won't soon forget. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the unique atmosphere that perfectly balances a cozy vibe with a touch of sophistication. The highlight of my visit, without a doubt, was the exceptional quality of both the drinks and the sausages.
The drinks at Ballyhoo are simply top-notch. Whether you're a fan of draft beers, bourbons, or liqueurs, there's something for everyone. Each beverage is carefully crafted to ensure a memorable experience, and the attention to detail is evident with every sip. It's clear that they put a lot of thought and expertise into their drink selection, catering to both casual drinkers and connoisseurs alike.
Now, let's talk about the sausages. Ballyhoo offers a creative take on this classic dish, elevating it to a whole new level. The flavors are bold and satisfying, making it the perfect comfort food with a gourmet twist. It's not just about the quality of the ingredients, which is impeccable, but also about the inventive combinations and preparations that make each bite a delight.
Overall, my visit to Ballyhoo was nothing short of fantastic. The combination of top-notch drinks, exceptional sausages, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere makes it a must-visit spot in Buffalo. It's clear that Ballyhoo is more than just a restaurant or bar; it's an experience, one that I look forward to repeating on my next visit to the area.

Read moreI don’t know if I like the patio out back more than the inside, because that back patio is SO great. The inside has a relaxed, fun vibe with their old school Christmas lights hanging around, and their bar is gorgeous and has every possible kind of libation imaginable. Their cocktails are thoughtfully created by bartenders who really care. Even the design of the locked-up cabinets where the extra booze is kept is beautiful and in tune with the rest of the design. There are a few tables, but it feels like enough space for people, since most come out hang out and drink instead of eat, I find. The bar is nice and long so it accommodates a lot of people. Their back patio, as I said, is awesome. It’s big with a few large tables, forcing you to socialize and sit together. It is at a lower level than the bar itself, so it feels separate space, and another experience entirely. The parking lot is too small for this location, and people from Swannie House park there, too, so parking can be touchy. You might have to park on South Park, or by the park, and walk over- which in the summer is fine. Their food menu is limited, but each sausage/meal they have prepared is creative and just out of this world. Their Banh Mi dog is probably the best one they have. There are just a couple sides- and you MUST be sure to get the mac & cheese! The dogs comes with chips, and one order is very filling. They also have a charity cocktail each week, featuring a new drink, that they donate money to a charity of their choice- which is such a great idea. I love this place- and I can’t recommend getting some food, and a charity...
Read moreI came for a quiet night with my loved one. Sadly, the employees were very loud talking to each other behind the bar and we didn’t not even get service right away. We came in Friday March 25th and ordered a few drinks (Drinks were great) and we also ordered some sauces. I guess they make them homemade, I’m sorry to be rude but they do not taste very good. I got a beef one, and well…where is the beef? Something just tasted off. Dispute this not very nice experience; we had a super friendly “Bar Back” keeping us company and checked up on us a few times. She clearly had a bright future in the business. If you stop in there, make sure to say hi to Shawndria, she’s not even a bartender and works harder than most. It pains me to write this because I love supporting local businesses; but when I’m super excited to try a place and I’m let down this badly…I’m sorry but Buffalo save your money and definitely don’t order food. Drinks are nice tho, they make good drinks if the bartenders aren’t talking to each other loudly all...
