Awful night at the Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino.
Withdrew $100 at the casino ATM. The currency was a new crisp $100 bill.
I tried to insert the $100 bill in several slot machines and each time the machine would not take the money. I put the money into a slot machine that I was not interested in playing hoping to get a ticket of the same value and insert money into a machine I do like to play. Just my luck the machine took my $100 but did not acknowledge receipt of my money. I hit the call light for assistance.
A slot attendant came to the machine and asked what was the problem.
I explained I put a $100 bill into the machine but it didn't acknowledge receipt of my money. The attendant called for assistance for a co-worker to come and help.
After several attempts from both the slot attendant and co-worker a third worker came over. The third worker was wearing a sport coat, which led me to believe he was more experienced.
The sport coat attendant opened up the machine and looked through various nooks and crannies with no luck. He informed me the last recording of money received at this machine was $20 dollars.
I told him he is mistaken I put a $100 bill into the machine.
I was told my only option was to fill out a claims dispute and within 2 or 3 days I will be notified of the decision to give me my money.
I began to explain again how and where I inserted my money. The sport coat attendant began to lose patience and assured me, he has looked everywhere inside of the machine. The sport coat attendant went to get the claims dispute forms.
Upon his return he began to fill out the forms for me to sign.
Again, I explained how and where I inserted my money. I asked the question what if I inserted my players card into the machine like I did with my money would you be able to find my players card?
The sport coat attendant said yes. If I inserted my players card into the machine he would find my card to prove to me, he has looked everywhere for my money.
I inserted my players card into the machine just as I had done with the $100 dollar bill. The sport coat attendant assured me he would get my card back.
He opened up the machine and could not find my card. After looking in various places in the machine he said my card was in a crevice he could not reach because his hands were to big to fit. He called over a female attendant and asked her if she could reach her hand in the small crevice.
The female attendant reached her hand inside the small crevice and said yes "I feel a card and a $100 dollar bill".
However, after several attempts the female attendant could not bring up the card or money.
The sport coat attendant requested another attendant come over with a long device that looks like a car antenna. The new attendant put a piece of tape on the end of the device and put it into the crevice after several attempts he pulled out my players card. He inserted the long narrow device with tape on the end to retrieve my money. After two or three attempts he pulled up my $100 bill out of the machine.
After I got my money I left. Not sure if and I will return again. Oh, did I fail to mention the sarcasm and lack of empathy from the sport coat attendant. As I mentioned earlier he lacked patience and his demeanor was that I was lying. No...

TOP TO BOTTOM THIS PLACE IS AN EMBARRASSMENT!
DO NOT COME HERE ON A WEEKDAY.
another weekday trip to see if things changed 2 hours - 0 jackpots paid Weds 730-9
Apologies if you are from out of town that this place is what we can offer you! Legitimately embarrassing!
I will continuously update this thread :)
Updated 2/27/24
one out of 6 ATMs functional (at least the second time this month) 3 ATMs still out of service.
25% of regular machines do not function as intended - still true. sound and touch do not work on at least 1/4 machines.
until they button this place up avoid at all cost!
As someone from Buffalo - born and raised - I’m actively embarrassed this is the casino we provide for people from out of town.. I know we aren’t Vegas - but when it is slow it is noticeably bleak… If you come inside and it’s quiet - no one is winning - it is noticeable. As of: 2/27/24
AREA: at time of post there was a mugging and a robbery in the last 3 months - including certain winners being followed home to their suburban residences. 1/23 UPDATE: there was a shooting across the street a couple weeks ago.. google it - Club Marcella.. 2/23
RESTROOMS: are closed very frequently but it’s a semi-short walk to all of them. very clean, though. the janitorial staff rocks.
DRINKS: wild that drinks are not free like any reputable casino!!!!! STILL!!! the bartenders / help on the floor do their best but usually short- staffed. be prepared to wait. be prepared for airport pricing. 2/23 - still embarrassed with their pricing - any real casino has free drinks - why is a corona $8 here….
SLOTS -
if you walk in and it isn’t noticeably loud - just turn around!! - has not changed!!
EMBARRASSINGLY LOW amount of jackpots paid (only $1200) Most machines are outdated and will not read your card - if you choose to use it. ATMs consistently down. Random update: 3 hours here tonight - 2 jackpots paid - witnessed each - $30 to win $1675 and $50 to win $3600. nothing else..
TABLES - are usually overly flooded at any given time and with extra tables around - it looks like a staffing issue - OFTEN TIMES you will not be able to play a table.. the other option is $100 tables which are empty..?
CUSTOMER SERVICE basically go F yourself. there is limited actual care - if you get a membership upgrade * tier system * it doesn’t matter besides being able to get a drink and some knockoff amenities - you will still be treated like cattle.
MORE TO COME. GOOD LUCK - YOU’LL NEED IT
9/29/23 Sat at the same slot a waitress passed by - 45 mins ago… never back.. Zero jackpots announced (been here 3 hours) Packed house of losers. Not touching a button on this slot until i see a server… 55 mins and counting at this point. Friday night - 1 hour + for any sort of service…
currently 90 mins without service… on a Friday night…
2 Hours!!! 2 FULL HOURS!!! NO SERVICE!!!
THIS PLACE IS NOT...
Read moreI have never, I think, left a negative review for any business. And this review is not a subconscious projection against casinos (I parked at the Casino for a nearby event but ate at The Creek Restaurant, which this review strictly pertains to).
We were seated at 10:30 PM, but we were not served until 11:15, waiting for one order of wings and french toast. We waited for the side order of limp bacon until 11:50. Our waitress (YaYi) never came buy to offer to refill water. She never brought Silverware, after herself acknowledging we needed it.
The casual comically conspicuous indifference, plus the over salted food, mixed with nearby 90 minutes of waiting, as others came after and left before us, was simply too much to bear, to not leave a review. Seneca, if you are going to exploit people's reptilian brain stems with spinning wheels and flashing lights, please, please, get your act together.
I ate there tonight, 10/5/19 (it is now the 6th, as the glacial pace of mediocre dining thrusted me into the next day.)
And don't get me wrong folks , I love supporting good business and I am not a fussy or discerning person (I was nearby for a Phil Collins concert, as proof) but this was comically dysfunctional, and no one apologized, acknowledged or anything.
And oh, did not drink any booze tonight, and this is written, I swear, in the spirit of service, and not...
