Review of The Winesmith: A Spiritual Experience in Cheese and Grit Let me tell you right now: The Winesmith isn’t just a wine bar—it’s a cathedral of charcuterie, a vineyard of victory, and possibly a portal to a better dimension where the cheese is always aged, the wine is always smooth, and CJ Carr already has a Heisman. I waltzed into The Winesmith like I was Marcus Freeman entering the 2025 National Championship game—calm, confident, and just hoping nobody noticed the cheese-induced tears forming in my eyes. I ordered the chevtiree board (which sounds like something you'd say during a French sword duel) and a glass of red so smooth it could’ve been CJ Carr’s throwing motion on 3rd and 12. Let’s talk about that chevtiree board: absolute madness. The meats? More stacked than Notre Dame’s 2025 O-line. The cheeses? Aged like Marcus Freeman’s recruiting strategy—bold, balanced, and making every other board look like a sad Lunchable. I took one bite and whispered, “Is this what playoff contention tastes like?” The wine? Let me say this: if CJ Carr’s arm talent were bottled, it would taste like this pinot noir. Complex. Nuanced. Light tannins with a finish that screamed, “We’re going to the playoff, baby!” Honestly, The Winesmith delivers the kind of experience that makes you believe in miracles, proper cheese ratios, and Notre Dame’s offensive consistency. If you’re not eating a meat and cheese board while fantasizing about CJ Carr dropping dimes at the CFP, what are you even doing with your life? Go Irish. Go wine. Go back to The Winesmith.

Wine. Buffalo Bills. Copper. Exposed brick. Kindness. PUPPIES ON A BAR. If you want to know what it’s like to win the lottery and then die and go to heaven, walk in to Just Vino. Owner Jeff will set you up with a glass of gold and then you can make small talk with the baby Jesus who’s sitting next to you pontificating about how every other bar takes a second seat to this one. Bring bacon, you won’t regret it. And neither will Baxter.

The Winesmith has such a great vibe! The wine selection is vast and unique. The service is professional, personable and all around enjoyable. The decor is very classy and clean. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Had a wonderful time here, and will certainly be back. Well done, and kudos to the entire Winesmith team!

The Winesmith is a hidden gem that Buffalo didn’t know it needed, but now can’t live without! 🍷✨

From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm, inviting, and beautifully curated. Whether you’re a seasoned wine lover or just getting started, there’s something on the menu for everyone. The wine selection is thoughtfully chosen, and the staff is incredibly knowledgeable without being pretentious.

I recently had the pleasure of filming an episode of my podcast, W.I.N.O.S. - Woman in Need of Sanity, at The Winesmith—and let me tell you, it was an experience! The owner was gracious, the pours were chef’s kiss and the vibe was unmatched. If you’re looking for a place to sip, relax and connect, this is it.

Do yourself a favor: stop in, try a flight, and thank me later. Cheers to The...
