On Monday morning, I ordered a box of 10 Munchkins through the mobile app. When I arrived to pickup my order at 9:15 am, there were cars in the parking lot and people inside. But the drive-thru had cones blocking it and the doors were locked with a sign posted "Closed due to lack of employees". However, my mobile showed that I was charged for the order I couldn't pickup and the purchase posted to my bank. I contacted corporate through online chat and got a message "Will respond within 24-48 hours" I have yet to hear from corporate. HOWEVER.. today is a new day! I went back down there and, lo and behold, Dunkin' is open! Walked in and was immediately greeted by the person behind the counter. I asked for the manager and was informed that there was no manager available. So I asked to speak to the person in charge and she said "I guess that's me!" I explained the situation and she was very accommodating. She explained that they were currently out of Munchkins and could either give a refund or donut instead so we swapped out the unavailable 10 Munchkins for a half dozen donuts. The display was full of product, looked great and were delicious. Dunkin' could have dropped the ball completely and this review would have been of a different flavor (pun intended) but thanks to this great employee, a lemon was turned into a great lemonade. The "powers that be" need to hold tight to this employee (I wish I had got her name), give her a raise or promotion or both. When I asked why, they said that they only make two of the different kinds of bagels and they couldn’t sale me both of them because what if somebody else wanted one….. what?!!
