First of all...its NOT CLOSE to the Burank AIRPORT! The appearance of the place isn't great from the outside. It's not in a very nice part of town. When you walk into the lobby it smells, they are not very tidy in the lobby area and behind the front desk. The lady that was behind the desk didn't seem to want to be there and was slow in checking people in. The elevator is not in the best of shape we went to the second floor and it barely made it, we took the stairs the next time. The room appeared to be clean but, the AC didn't work unless it was set at the lowest 60 and it had to be on for an hr in order for the room to cool off. The other people who were staying at the Hotel were loud and yelling, I think this hotel is more for the people who need a place to live but, can't afford RENT not a place to stay if your going on Vacation like we did. This was the view out our window of the "Executive" suit we wont ever go back to this place and I will not recommend it to anyone.

TL;DR: Do not go here if you can afford some place else. There is no clear signage to find the place from the street. The overhang of the drop off area has multiple leaks in the ceiling. The walkway outside the rooms of the third floor had multiple leaks in the ceiling. There is absolutely no sound proofing between the room and the outside, so on one night I heard every word of a man ranting at a worker for over an hour at 10pm. The wall over the AC in my room was leaking water. I called the front desk and asked if I could be moved to a different room. They said they were fully booked and had no other rooms, but they could give me more towels for it. And they said I had to come down to pick up the towels myself, (presumably because they were understaffed?) The beds sleep very hot, so I had to keep the AC running especially cold all night to counteract the heat from the bed. All in all, a very uncomfortable experience and I would never stay here again.

Location is 1 mile from Bob Hope airport. I walked here in 17min. Got the handicapped room which had microwave, refrigerator and TV. Room was clean. Attendant was courteous and made sure the shuttle would be available to me tomorrow morning. It starts at 5am. There's also breakfast at 630am. Across from a Jack in the box, a freeway and the railroad track. Convenient, a little noisy but not overly so and fine for one night's stay. I'd stay here again. If you're not fussy, this place is fine.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!! A few friends and I decided to stay here as it was close to where we needed to go and cheap. When we arrived the first night around 12:30AM there was a guest getting arrested in the parking lot, which was nice to see. We check in, the room seemed fairly clean until we took our shoes off for a little bit and realized our feet were completely black after walking around on the carpet. When we went to take showers the next day, we discovered BLACK MOLD on the ceiling in the shower, after looking more it was behind the wallpaper and mirror too. We called the front desk 3 times, no answer so we had to walk down there. We tried to explain to the lady working, I believe her name is Ana, about what was going on and she kept interrupting us and asked when we checked in and how we just noticed it. Keep in mind, when we checked in we had just driven 6.5 hours from AZ and went straight to sleep, then left to the beach the next morning. She was very rude and acted like we had something to do with it as if mold grows over night? She said they were booked and would see what she can do with such attitude and no empathy for the situation. She offered to move us to a suite, we get there to inspect it, keys don't work.. We go back down, she rolls her eyes and said she'll just give us a different suite. So you have 2 rooms available but you're booked up.. right okay. We move to the new room which smells like stale smoke but no luckily black mold! Now onto the second part, when we leave for the beach we see a gentleman in the parking lot, staring at us, we think nothing of it and get in our car. When we return, he is still there sitting in his car in a different spot, staring at us. We move rooms and look down to the parking lot, as the hallways and doors are on the outside and he is still staring at us as we move. We go to dinner and come back, same thing. When our other 2 friends arrive later that night around 11:30PM, we leave and come back, only this time to find the guy sitting in his car in the Jack in the Box parking lot which is conjoined with the hotel lot, where he has clear view of our new room. As we're walking to it, we look over and he is staring and waves his hand to come down. We rush into the room and turn off the lights, and for another hour constantly checking out the window, and he is still there staring at us. We decided to call 911 as we terrified, as young women with all the sex trafficking and kidnapping that has been going on in today's times. Once they arrived and started to search the man and his car, he did not break staring once at our room the entire time.. Still freaked out, we packed everything and decided to check out. The gentleman working the front desk stated he cannot check me out until tomorrow but will send me a receipt, no apology or anything for what we were going through. As we were getting in our car, to leave the guy still being searched by police continued staring until we pulled away. I have never been so scared in my life. Now, the lady Ana, with no apology or anything, is offering us 50% off one night, which is $48. $48 for all we had to go through!!! Absolutely ridiculous. I will never be returning to this hotel and will be filing with BBB. If I could give it a...

This hotel was absolutely the Worst experience I have Ever, Ever had with a Choice Privileges Hotel.

Online it stated that the hotel was 6.58 miles from Glendale, CA - it was closer to 20 when I clocked it in my car.

Then the front desk person Could Not Speak or Understand English hardly at all. He was the only one I could speak to that night and his directions to the hotel were very confusing. I know the area regarding the freeways, thank goodness, or I wouldn't have gotten there until midnight!

Then my room was on the 3rd floor, an outside entrance, and it was very windy! The front desk person's writing was so poor that "324" looked like "326". I had a lot to carry up to the room, and then it was the wrong room number! It ended up his writing was just not readable!

When I finally got in the room it smelled so bad, but I was so exhausted I couldn't change rooms, so I just endured it. It just reeked of cigarette smoke, especially in the bathroom!!! The room was suppose to be a Non Smoking room.

Then the TV didn't work at all. When I called the front desk he said there was a problem and that it would be fixed the following morning. I was leaving at 6:30 a.m. the next morning, so that didn't help me have any TV entertainment during my stay that night.

Then the next morning the tub did not drain adequately while I took my shower. I was knee deep in water and had to hurry with my shower.

Then as I walked outside in the cold, went downstairs in the elevator, and out to my car there was a shower curtain and some clothes lying in the driveway right in front of the hotel. It looked as if a guest had thrown those things down from the rooms above, and the hotel just left them lying in the driveway for the rest of us to see.

I have Never been so glad to leave a hotel as I was that morning.

I was too exhausted the night before to take up any kind of complaint with upper management. I had to get to work early the next day in Glendale, so again I didn't have time to complain directly to the hotel management. And remember, the night before the front desk person could hardly speak English, nor could he write legibly. I was not about to address complaints to him.

When I finally did call the next afternoon and the Choice Privileges representative called the hotel while I held on the line, the hotel claimed that other guests had complimented them about that very room. I say that has to be a falsehood!! Or maybe when the hotel was first built a guest liked that room, but I say Any other guest would have demanded a different room if they had been in my situation. I would have too demanded another room if I had not been alone and soooo exhausted!

This was such a disgusting experience all the way around!! I can't emphasize enough how awful it was. I just was so literally exhausted that night that I could not confront anyone about it. Now I know that I will call Choice Privileges directly from the hotel room if this ever happens again - no matter what time of night it is. Hopefully, I will have the energy to complain then and there if I ever encounter this kind of horrible hotel. Again, Just...

I have never left a bad review on Choice in my many years of experience staying at Choice properties, but this one had to be done. I can't say enough about how terrible this hotel is and the horrific experience with the hotel and Choice Hotels we experienced. The hotel is a disaster area. It is very low end compared to 99% of the Choice properties I have stayed at. I stay exclusively at Choice properties and travel for business so I know what to compare it to. This was the worst hotel in so many ways. The facilities as a whole are very old and run down and in need of refurbishing. The carpets are sooo filthy that when you take a shower you notice how black the shower becomes under your feet. We were quite concerned about the sanity as the room smelled of urine and was intolerable. There was also mold in the bathroom in many areas. We would have asked for another room but with all that we had gone through with the hotel and Choice we just gave up. We had booked and had confirmed a 2 queen bed suite because our son and his girlfriend were going to stay with us. They are not married and do not sleep in the same bed. The day before our arrival we received a message from the hotel and were informed that our suite was not available for the days we were to be there and that they wanted us to take a 2 bed queen room. I called Choice and asked for some help with another property or how they could clear up the situation. After being on hold for a number of minutes and being told I would be transferred to the supervisor at Choice, I was actually transferred to the hotel. Choice customer service lied to me saying I would be transferred to the supervisor. At this point, the hotel kept trying to get me to take the 2 queen room or to take two rooms with One bed each (that would not solve our sleeping arrangement needs) but never offered any discount or a free night or anything for taking the 2 queen room. They kept telling me they would call me back and did one time but then waited for hours and we were to arrive soon. I was by now so frustrated that "I" suggested a roll-away bed, which they did provide, but still no discount. Now keep in mind, I had paid for the suite and they ultimately charged me for it! The person in charge was not available at checkout. Don't...
