I don't know what it is about Burbank CA yesterday all day too early this morning however there seems to be a bug in everyone's soul to act out against me for whatever reason and it will backfire on everyone , I say this to say the overnight lady who was working by herself tonight at this location to this morning is very immature unprofessional and mentally unstable... I was sitting waiting to be seated I asked to wait to be seated because I was taking my time because I had a lot of time to kill and she said yea it's ok she walks away i see an outlet and plug my phone in, as time passes and i unplug my phone a older white lady customer walks out then back in and says something to her then walks out again after that as I'm walking to get my bag and put my plug back in then proceed to be seated the overnight employee same lady starts to spazz out and go crazy on me for plugging my phone in the outlet saying I should of asked and I was hiding ..first off there's nothing to hide about plugging a phone in an outlet at a place I'm about to sit and eat at so that was a weird accusation , she yelled infront of customers at me and argued loudly acting like she was arguing with her husband and or a significant other it was weird , she was really mad i plugged in my phone which I thought wouldn't be a problem because we just established I would be eating and sit down soon. She literally spazzed out bad I would like for you to check the cameras I am writing this as a complaint I would like the incident to be looked into it was disrespectful she could have just told me usually we don't let people plug in there phones there for next time and I would of apologized and proceeded to sit down to eat, she refused service I tried explaining why she was wrong and she turned it into an argument I said fine I'll leave and proceed to go to the bathroom then leave as I walked to the bathroom she gets Infront of me and starts pushing me putting her hands on me and acting as if she was a jealous ex girl friend getting me back for not letting her in the house one day except I never saw her a day in my life no employee should ever put their hands on a customer especially if she called the police already she could have let them handle it when they got there, i dont come to Denny's to be harassed by your employees and improperly spoken to because i plugged in a phone before i sat to eat...I am not dating anyone of your workers for them to act the way she did almost like she was working for an ex girlfriend trying to get me back for not letting them go to the bathroom at my grandma's house or something it was really weird, and for the cops to be called over somthing so stupid and for her to actually put her hands on me and push me and try and prevent me from going to the bathroom is asinine if I wasn't a good person who knows my own strength that could have turned really ugly all because of her unprofessionalism, I hope firing her can be in consideration she isn't equipped to work overnight by herself she's mentally...
Read moreWhen I walked into this restaurant, there were already seven or eight people there. They were standing in the foyer at the entrance in front of the cashier. And some were sitting, some were standing. I walked up, they told me that I needed to sign up for a waiting list. They asked my name and said that I had to wait 20 minutes. And I looked around the halls. And they were, well, almost half empty. I mean, well, maybe the larger half was full, but... The smaller half was empty... There were empty tables. But they kept people in line. They didn’t let people sit down. And I had to wait too. Is this some kind of human training? Or what is going on? Why is this happening? Why are people kept waiting? Are they kept in a restaurant with empty tables? Are they kept at the entrance? At the entrance! The waiter is very rude. He talks absolutely as if I came to beg!! I don’t even know how to say it. He asked me if I wanted a drink. And I didn't know what to choose, tea or coffee. And I ordered food just for now. I say, just eating for now, and a little later I'll get something. And so... They brought me... They pointed to the table where I was supposed to sit. But it was uncomfortable for me to sit there. Especially since I have a bad back. I moved to another table, which was also uncomfortable. He was very indignant. He said that next time this won't happen. Next time you can't do this. In a didactic tone! It's very strange. Then he brought cutlery. He just threw it. First of all, they weren't completely wrapped. And he threw them on the table. It was the part that you eat with, it's not wrapped. Below I'll take a photo of a spoon, which apparently had already been in someone's mouth. And it was unclean. I also looked to see that the plate my food was on also had traces of, let's say, poor cleaning. It was unpleasant to eat, I didn't finish it. I asked him to bring water, and he was indignant. I asked him why he was indignant. He answered that he asked me what I wanted to drink. But at that moment I didn’t want to drink anything. And then I wanted water. Not coffee, not tea, but water. Later I ordered tea and sat and waited. I had a broken down car nearby and I was waiting for them to pick me up and for me to go about my business. I arrived there at about half past twelve at night, sat and drank tea, I had to hold out for another hour, but at four o’clock another woman waitress came and they rudely started throwing me out, saying that according to their rules I couldn’t sit in the restaurant for more than two hours. I didn’t even have the strength to look at them anymore and I left. Judge for yourself whether that spoon had been somewhere before they...
Read moreI as so unimpressed and frankly pissed at the service today I have to write review. I have come to this place three times, and each time, the service is just worse and worse. The first time, my friend and I came at around 11am-3am to work, and were served by a really nice waitress who I believed might have been the manager. She was so amiable and so attentive I really felt at home working there. We worked for about 3.5 hours there, and no one ever kicked us out.
The second time a went there, I sat by myself for 30 minutes at a table, and no one came up to me and asked me if i needed anything during that time. That was the beginning of my doubts about this Denny's.
Now the third time was the worst. My boyfriend and I came to work there at 11am. We had just eaten dinner so we started off by just ordering coffee. A couple hours later, the waitress comes up, and asks if we want to order any food, and since we were still not too hungry, I just ordered two English muffins. She literally said, that is all you are going to order? and walked away.
The whole time we were there, NO ONE, came up to our table at any point and asked if we wanted coffee refills or if we needed anything else. I then ordered another drink throughout the night, and after I ordered the drink, the same bitchy waitress came up and said that there is a two hour limit sitting at Dennys. Then she said that even though i just ordered something, I need to leave soon.
I was so pissed that I got up to leave right away, and when I asked to talk to the waitress, who said she was not the manager, but in charge for the night, I told her that the last two times I worked there from 12-4 am no one kicked us out. She just said that usually when people come to Denny's they get meals. Well I ordered stuff that added up to $13, which is basically the cost of a meal!
That one experience today ruined it for me, and I probably will never be coming to Dennys again. Aside from the first time with the really nice waitress, I would say the service here is pretty damn shitty, and they really need to train their hosts to be nicer people. Will NOT be recommending this...
