I've said it before and I'll say it again... Cane's has the best dipping sauce in the fast food game! Simple menu, simply delicious, and super cravable.
I've been waiting for this place to open for months. If you are reading this review soon after I post it then you know how good the food is. What you need to know is how to navigate the grand opening frenzy. Please allow me to be your guide.
When my wife and I arrived, just after 5pm on a Thursday, the drive thru line was out on the street coned off in the far right lane of traffic all the way around the corner. It was being monitored by Burbank police officers. We later overhead an employee saying that the wait in the drive thru line was 40 minutes.
Right now dine in is the far better option. If you have a state issued disabled parking pass you can park in the lot on site. I recommend that you have it ready to show the security. They initially were gruffly shooing us away until I showed them my placard and then they were super nice and let us in. Take my advice and just experience the really nice part. It'll make your day better.
If you don't have a disabled pass you will need to find street parking. There is plenty of parking available in the shopping center lot across the street.
Even though the place was packed and crazy busy we had our food in hand in less than 15 minutes. Waiting in line to order was the majority of the time. We were actually amazed at how quickly we got our food after ordering. The staff were energetic, friendly, and really efficient.
The turnover of tables for dine in was quite quick. We had our choice of a few tables inside or out even though it was during peak hours. Upbeat music and powerful AC were both blasting inside. Outside was a more chill vibe in spite of the drive thru line so we chose a table in the shade.
In conclusion, park somewhere and dine in. You'll be done with your amazing meal fresh out of the kitchen in far less time than it takes for folks who are waiting in the drive thru line just to order their boxed take out.
Pro Tip: Chat for a minute with Jose. He was greeting guests and cleaning tables while we were basking in our food joy. He is a fountain of joy and has a heart of gold. It is truly amazing to have the privilege of spending a little time with people like Jose.
So, do yourself a favor and give this crazy popular...
Read moreI was a huge fan of Raising Canes but after my experience yesterday afternoon at your Burbank location— I am so disappointed. I arrived around 5:10 and was immediately told by security alerting me that the drive thrus were closed although there were cars in both. They also tell me to order on the app. I go ahead and circle the block to finally park in the neighborhood upon downloading the app and making my purchase my pick up time was 6pm— I accept it and proceed to wait. I walk into the restaurant and it is packed to the brim of people with a line wrapped around the lobby. I immediately feel grateful for ordering ahead, so I wait for 6. My order time comes and gos and i’m still waiting, i ask a member of the staff the status of my order and he lies saying that he can only see the 3 next orders at a time. I then start noticing that the people with later times are getting their food before me and that the people in line at the restaurant are having their orders completed much quicker than the people that were instructed to order ahead. What makes things worse is that the people that got lucky to be in the drive-thru seemed to have priority as those orders were flying out. I think that was very unfair and backwards if anything the drive thru should’ve been closed for everyone to prioritize the people that had been waiting on their feet and were told the drive thru was closed! 6:30 comes and still no food but the orders at 6:30 are being served and large ones too— they were even handing out free items for the wait. I ask about my order AGAIN and someone scrolls through to find it on the screen after I was told it wasn’t possible. I understand that these people are busy and overworked so i stay calm because they are human but i’m still waiting for my 6pm order that i placed at 5:20. Finally at 6:48 i get my order— a three finger combo. I waited almost an additional hour and no apology for the wait, no free item for my wait, just “here’s your food.” My small order at 6 took longer to make than the large orders at 6:30? I take my food and leave.
I have no plans on returning if this is how things are run, this completely changed how I view raising cane. I have never had such a negative experience to where i feel the need to...
Read moreThis is my least favorite Canes. They close wayyyy too early, the line is ridiculous, and the last time i went they lost my order and it took me 40 minutes to finally get my food.
Firstly the line is really long and they cut off the line and the mobile ordering a lot earlier than they close. I think this Canes closes the earliest out of all of them, the other ones close around midnight. Then they block the cars from entering the drive thru because they say it'll block the street so you would have to circle the block over and over hoping you catch an opportunity to enter the drive through if you want to go through the DT.
The last time I went I had to park down the street and walk because I couldn't get in the drive through. I had to wait 20 minutes in line to order. After ordering I waited 25 minutes for them to call my name and they never did. I go to the counter and ask about my order and they tell me they must have bumped it off the screen by mistake and they tell me they will work on it right away and they are sorry. Ten minutes later I go back up to the counter and ask if they forgot about me and they tell me they are making it again and this time I stand at the counter glaring until I get my food. The ridiculous part is they only sell chicken fingers and fries and the place was packed so they have to be making chicken fingers and fries back to back and there's nothing else on the menu but cold slaw and bread....so there's no way they couldn't have just thrown some fingers and fries in a box and gave them to me immediately since I had already waited over 30 minutes bc they "lost" my order.
It's pretty terrible when most of the time I have to drive past this location to go to the Downy location bc this location is the worst. I'm only giving it two stars because my chicken and fries were still tasty. I'm a foodie so I don't mind waiting in line for good food but losing my order is not ok and then forgetting to remake it after you tell me you will make it...
