If you want to make a purchase at Bakery Nouveau be aware you probably won’t feel welcome especially when it takes more than 5 minutes to even be acknowledged despite have 6 employees wandering around the front counter. I understand at times everyone is busy but a good business would at the very least still make any effort to greet the new customers who walked in and say good afternoon, someone will be with you shortly or similar. I could tell just by all of the employees mannerisms and demeanor that If you are a person of remote moderate or conservative values you’re not welcome in this establishment, which was made obvious to me. Safe Space stickers, pride flags, etc. so you know ideologically how easy they could be ā€œtriggered ā€œ by what is deemed in 2025 blue cities as ā€œtoxic masculinity ā€œ . I’ve been purchasing products from this business the past 4 years with no issues at all until this year with all new faces working here now suddenly the first female employee with red hair who finally acknowledged me 5 minutes and 30 seconds into waiting felt uncomfortable selling a cheesecake because a dog was going to consume part of this cake with the rest of us humans in my house. I was just having a casual conversation about celebrating my Roxy’s 4th Birthday. Yes. She is a strong German Shepherd and never had any problem eating this type of food. It’s not like she’s eating this stuff everyday. Every dog and human deserves to have their day and like cake eat it, too! Once per year celebration cake will NOT HARM your pet! FYI. Last time I checked I don’t see many Certified Veterinary Technicians or Physicians moonlighting as bakery employees. You see this is the problem with cities like Seattle including Burien in 2025 and really since the late 2000’s. Many of these businesses have been hijacked by D.E.I. , woke-mind virus delusion and nobody can enjoy freedom anymore in blue cities and states. There was still a couple of employees wearing masks for crying out loud. You would have never seen this prior to the Wuhan-Origin Linked Coronavirus aka COVID-19. You can’t even purchase a cheesecake with zero chocolate ā€œbecause sugar could harm your dog and I don’t feel comfortable serving this item to youā€! I’ve raised and interacted with dogs all of my life and it’s never harmed them, lifespans never decreased against the average and everyone was happy. The recommendation to go to Mud Bay-which by the way has no bakery-it is pet supply store was just a sad and pathetic solution to a problem that never existed to begin with. The employee with blonde hair began to start the order but somewhere between going to the back to check inventory and coming back out with the red-haired employee she changed her mind and told me ā€œI have the right to refuse service to anyone including myself.ā€ Yes, you may have that right and you exercised it with great misguided virtue-signaling aggression but a reminder it is a two-way street as I have the right to give your business a most-deserving negative review and to inform all of my friends and family who now will know Bakery Nouveau does not welcome conservatives who happen to be dog parents. These are the same woke Millennial and Gen-Z Americans that will break the glass on your vehicle if they were to see your dogs inside with the windows rolled 3/4 of the way up on a 40° F cool day. Very sad and disturbing to see the direction these particular cities and states are heading towards. I was born and raised in Seattle, when I was 5 we moved from West Seattle to Burien when it was still unincorporated King County. Every decade especially ever since the city was founded in 1993 you could see the decline of all facets of life in B-Town. Extensive Road Diets, Homelessness-many of whom are imported from cities that don’t tolerate that lazy behavior because they don’t want to follow the rules of a shelter, increase in crime, etc. It’s a shame what this city has become but the one thing you could count on was getting business done but unfortunately snowflake behavior has poisoned that element of...

This is my first time posting a review ever! My experience I had when I I I was picking up my daughters birthday cake last Friday 10/15, 2ish in the afternoon, female clerk, was completely unacceptable. I’m sure this is a isolated incident as I have had great customer service in the past. I ordered my cake the day before (which. I am supposed to order 48 hours in advance), requested writing, ribbon, bag, etc to be picked up by 11:00 in the morning. I even request that if it was ready early to please call and they did. I was unable to pick up cake at this time because of an unexpected absence of a teacher in our SPED classroom. So after school I went to pick up cake. It was a busy afternoon in the bakery, lots of people being served..... My turn, perfect! In and out. I was in a little hurry but not rushed until the clerk who kept telling me she was going to be a few minutes between getting my cake, bag, ribbon, napkins delayed me. (Sounds petty right? Sorry, not sorry). After getting my order I asked if the ribbon which I requested with order was on the cake. It wasn’t. (This is all about attitude and customers service) I kindly told here I was in a bit of a hurry and please bag it up with the ribbon. She’s looked at me, held the pink order form up in front of me and said, ā€œyou didn’t place the ribbon request on your order and there will be an additional chargeā€. ( I felt like I needed to defend my self in some way. Like I was inconveniencing her). I looked at her and said, ā€œoh ok,ā€.. Then she indignantly asked if II still wanted the ribbon! (I’m thinking at this point I have made it very clear I want the ribbon) My response, ā€œyes pleaseā€. Now at this point I’m getting agitated! She said, ā€œthis will be a few minutesā€. My response,.ā€okā€. She comes back with the ribbon in hand holding up over the bag and said.ā€ Oh do want me to put it on the boxā€? ( Now I’m Hot!) Yes, I said of course. Please put the ribbon on. (Dah!). Again, she told me this was going to take a few minutes. So, proceeded to get forks and.napkins, They needed to be replenished. So I asked her for some forks. AGIAN, she said this is going to take a few minutes. (Getting hotter by the second). She gets gloves with no sense of urgency then says to me (this is the kicker) ā€œoh this time I’m not going got charge you for the ribbon but next time I’m going to have toā€.. (AS IF) Now I’m mad. I said, oh my mistake. I pulled my wallet out grabbed a couple bucks and put at register. I made it to the front door before turning back around and asking another person for a business card. There was none at the register. I would have talked to a manager at this time but I was on the way to present cake to my daughter or her 16th birthday. It was a slight distraction but enough for me to vent about it this morning after the festivities. My advice for the person helping me. KNOW YOUR AUDIENCE. I.was picking up a 6ā€ cake for $35. Not cheap. The Bakery is top notch. Nice demographic of patrons. I’m certain the next time I am in will...

If you are a baker at heart and you appreciate quality baked goods, you have to visit this bakery. I had a German born mom who taught me to never skimp on quality ingredients, so I can really say that they do not! I was visiting family nearby and they said that I had to visit. On my 2 visits to the Burien location recently I tried the following: Twice Baked Almond and Chocolate Croissants (if there are only 2 items you want to try, these should be your choice), German Chocolate Cake (good, but darker than the traditional homemade and the frosting doesn't have the strong pecan and coconut flavor I prefer), cream cheese and apple danishes (very tasty and not too sweet), Classic Chocolate Cake (Fantastic with a scoop of premium vanilla ice cream!), and last, but not least, the brown sugar pecan brioche - a very tasty, not overbearing treat. Since I made a pig of myself this trip, I was very impressed by how they are able to make all of these fantastic treats with less sugar than you would believe possible - I never had a sugar high/low after eating so many at one sitting. I only have gone to the Burien location where the staff is polite, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. I understand that the lines go out the door on weekends but I never had to wait mid-morning...

Mind-blowing doesn’t even begin to cover it šŸ¤ÆšŸ„°šŸ˜‡šŸ„–ā˜•ļø If I could give Bakery Nouveau more than five stars, I would. From the moment you walk in, it feels magical. There’s a glass floor where you can watch chocolate being crafted beneath your feet, and to the left is a whimsical wonderland of hot-air balloons, gelato, chocolates, pastries, breads, tea, and coffee. Front and center is a giant trophy proclaiming ā€œWorld’s Best Baguette,ā€ and let me tell you… it earns it. I brought my toughest foodie friend from Fremont to judge, and we both agreed, the baguette sandwich is hands-down the best in Seattle. Crackly crust, airy center, and brie so creamy you close your eyes in happiness. Then came the quiche, we didn’t expect it to steal the show, but it did. Truly the best quiche we’ve ever had. Flaky, buttery crust with a silky custard center that felt like savory velvet. We couldn’t stop there… we had to go for dessert and the strawberry pistachio cake delivered. The complexity of this cake was just as powerful as the other two dishes, a gorgeous mousse masterpiece that tasted like springtime in Paris. This isn’t just a bakery. It’s an experience, and one you’ll want to tell everyone about. Run, don’t walk.

I absolutely love this place. I have been going to their West Seattle location for years and now they have one in Burien, which is like 5 minutes from my house, so all bad for men lol. But seriously people they have the best chocolate cakes and raspberries cakes!!! You can never go wrong with this place. They got coffee, pizzas and quiches and macaroons too!!! Yummmm!!!! The chocolate cake I got, it has a raspberry coulis in it. A nice balance of dark chocolate to tart raspberries, great combination. You got to try it. The one with all those raspberries on them, is extremely delicious not too sweet or too tart. You honestly can't go wrong with either one of those cakes or macaroons. So good. If you haven't gone, YOU NEED TO NOW!!! Like seriously right now, unless they are close lol. Enjoy and I hope you will love them as much I do.

I've been a regular customer here for years. If you want to eat high-quality croissants or pastries, you go there even early in the morning. There is parking, but if it is full, you can do street parking. In my experience, you should decide online in advance what you want to eat to some extent. Otherwise, it's hard to choose things in a crowded store. The service staff is skilled, so you need to place a quick order. There are tables and chairs in the store, so if there's a vacancy, you'll be lucky. Our order this time was Junction croissant and Lorraine quiche. Lorraine quiche is the classic pairing of bacon with Swiss Emmentaler cheese and sweet caramelized onion. Junction Croissant is the all-day breakfast, with scrambled eggs, ham, bacon, and white cheddar, dressed with bƩchamel. Both were satisfied.
