Just a few things:
My experience: I come here sometimes(but rarely)- when i’m lazy to drive to the other dog parks i actually like. we get to the park and there’s not many people except for these two old white ladies on the bench with their dog and a few other people. my pup is trying to find someone to play with and he greets their dog and moves on. another owner and their dog comes in and THEIR dog automatically tries to jump my dog and so i wait till their owner comes and gets him. but the other dog keeps trying to attack MY pup and they’re going at it, mind you the other dog is fully grown. they’re by the old lady and she tries to push them away but the OTHER dog NIPS her, NOT MINE but the OTHER dog. so i’m checking if my dog is okay and i’m hearing her track to the other dog owner “dogs who aren’t neutered can get aggressive and i think i’ve told her before” (not knowing she was talking about me) MIND YOU IVE NEVER SEEN THIS WOMEN BEFORE. she goes and tells me “miss i think i’ve told you before, you’re pup is friendly in the beginning but then he starts to get aggressive” and i’m like ????? 1)my dog is not neutered but he did not bite you. 2) my dog didn’t start the fight, the one that BIT you did. 3) i’ve never seen you before. 4) there’s no where in the dog park that says you’re dog has to be neutered in order to come play. But instead of arguing, i left. anyone who goes to the dog park know there is no need to “talk” to dog owners who are one minded and it clearly was none of her business. Won’t be coming back.

Read moreGreat little dog park!!! Many of us local regulars have been doing our best to keep the park cleaned & fixed for all dog lovers! The parks & rec have brought a few loads of bark, however a few more piles would be appreciated! Not one big pile but a pile near gate below and near steps below. Baskets have been placed near entrances for dog balls, toys, please not trash. A note to visitors if coming to the park please pick up after your dog including placing toys back in baskets. This is helpful for we get much rain in northwest and this helps wash off toys by having them in baskets. Another secure bench below near rounded corner would be appreciated as well. There are three up top but none below. It would be nice to get the broken not too nice chairs removed. Some one thought this is a dump site for there patio chairs....well they just get peed on and most are broken. Not cool. The fountain really needs some work. The lower button doesn't not produce enough pressure and there for takes long to fill water bowls. To who ever keeps tying a rope around this needs to stop. This is causing issues not to mention people are not turning it back off properly. Just need more pressure please to get water out. Lastly, the sidewalk cement path is never maintained and sand is too much. Hard for wheel chairs to come in. Parks & rec please sweep this off more regularly would be appreciated & getting the board/sign put up would be nice. I went to meeting two summers ago and no board up still. Many of us enjoy this park and hope it improves. Thank you to the locals including myself who help maintain this park. Could really use a bit more from...
Read moreLayout is okay and main area not much bigger than a big backyard which was okay but what wasn’t okay is the behavior of an owner. I have 2 large dogs-Pari Wolf and a Boxer. They are VERY well trained and I have a protocol when taking them new places. We enter, sit, make sure there isn’t too much high energy and excitement because I never know how well behaved others are-just saying. As we were acclimating an owner let her dog bum rush my still leashed animals. That’s not okay under any circumstances and since she seemed to be acting camp greeter she should have known better PARTICULARLY since she had never seen us before. My Wolf warned him off and my Boxer just wanted to play-different strokes. My point, which I tell my dogs ALL THE TIME is Mind Your Business! Before you enter there is a list of park rules-OKAY....but remember, just because it is your neighborhood enclave doesn’t mean new folks won’t utilize your facility, which means that YOU have to follow the RULES too if for nothing else than leading by example and showing a friendly face cause you never know whom you might be offending-big dollar donor or a politically connected person....
