Elliott Bay Brewing - Burien — Restaurant in Burien

Normally I really like this place but for 2 nights in a row, they basically gave me a raw hamburger even though I asked for it to be fully cooked, no pink meat. It happened on Tuesday night, had to throw my burger away.. Went back Wednesday to give them another shot, told them please make sure it's fully cooked.. Brought my burger home, took a bite to discover it was basically raw meat! Instead of throwing it away, wasting my money like the night before, I decided to drive all the way back there to show them how raw my burger was and ask for my money back. Instead of apologizing and giving my money back, they kept insisting on making another burger for me even though I said no thank you several times and just wanted my money back.. Finally got my money back but I'm really disappointed in how everything turned out, especially because it happened two nights in a row.. And when I say raw meat, it was raw! You'd think they would try to make things right instead of only giving me the option of getting my money back or getting another burger but nope. Like I said before, this place was really good but after having 4 raw burgers 2 nights in a row, I'll be hesitant on going back there. (4 raw burgers because my old man and I both ordered them and both had raw ones two nights in a row). I don't know how saying "well done, fully cooked" means raw to them. Clearly one of the cooks back there just doesn't care or doesn't pay attention to their cooking during busy hours). Clearly it's not an isolated incident because it happened 2 nights in a row..

Burien location ended up driving a total of 60 miles from having to go back and forth there twice on the second night. I live about 15 miles away.. 30 miles round trip picking up our dinner then had to turn around and go right back after bringing our food home making it a total...

Elliot Bay Brewhouse has two locations and the Burien one is by far the better of the two. Everything to like about the original in the West Seattle Junction is kicked up a notch here. The place is easily 4 times the size of the original. Where you often have to wait in a queue of strollers in West Seattle, the Burien location is a perfect place for big groups to stop in without reservations. It's also way cleaner, not as noisy and overall more comfortable. I've been here several times over the years and have never had a bad experience.

I went today for lunch and was surprised to find the place nearly full for a Monday. Being so spacious, it wasn't a problem getting seated. Our waitress was responsive and checked back often. I ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich and my lunch mate got the Blackened Ahi Tuna Sandwich. They came crazy fast after we ordered, no more then five minutes! We couldn't believe how fast it was for as busy as they were. The menu says the Pulled Pork comes open faced, but it was served on a big Kaiser roll, and can be picked up and eaten without silverware. The BBQ uses their Porter and is spicy and sweet without being overly so. They didn't skimp on the Blackened Ahi Tuna Sandwich either. The piece of fish was huge for a sandwich.

I'd also recommend the Fish & Chips. They use their Luna Weizen in the beer batter. Often times, beer battered fish can get heavy, oily and over power the fish. Not so here. It's light and crispy and seasoned to perfection. You also can't go wrong with any of their burgers. All are solid bets and hamburger can be substituted for chicken or veggie patties.

They also brew several beers onsite. I always gravitate back to the Luna Weizen, it's their version of an American style Hefeweizen. There are monthly seasonal beers they brew as well, in addition to a rotating list of beers from other breweries. For beer nerds, bring in your growlers on Tuesday...

Went here with my boyfriend and our daughter, waited about 15 minutes for a table which wasn’t too bad. When we sat down the waitress came over and asked what we wanted to drink, she also barely greeted us and did not even tell us her name. I asked for a drink menu to figure out what i wanted and she basically said “Yeah i think we’re out of drink menus it’s pretty busy in here. we might have some wine though” i didn’t know what to say so i just got a water. she should have went and found me a drink menu because there’s no way i would have known which beer/wine i wanted without it. my boyfriend went up to the bar after she walked away and got one in two seconds from the bartender. my boyfriend ordered the chili and salad & i ordered the nachos. my boyfriend didn’t like the chili at all, and it didn’t taste fresh, more like some saved from yesterday. my nachos were on a small circle plate & it was basically a heap of soggy greasy mush. the waitress not very attentive & the service was horrible from her. not sure how the other waiters are, but we will not...
