My husband and I enjoy trying out new restaurants. So on a Thursday evening we drove to a refurbished Mexican Seafood restaurant in Burleson. It wasn’t crowded, so we were immediately set at a table. Chips and salsa were served very quickly, but we sat for about 5-7 minutes before our waitress came around. We asked her for some water at which time we were made aware she spoke no English. Luckily, between my husband and I, we were able to get our request for “agua” made, but we speak very little Spanish and she spoke no English. Therefore asking questions about any of the dishes wasn’t going to happen. Each of us decided to have a single drink while we perused the menu. We finally decided on 3 appetizers we were going to share. The food was served fairly quickly, but we had to remind our server about the aqua we had never gotten. She finally brought 2 glasses of water after the meal was served. The food was ok. The oysters were the smallest I had ever seen and weren’t loosened from the shell, making it virtually impossible to get the meat off the shell without tearing it to pieces. The shrimp cocktail was very tasty though. It had an adequate amount of shrimp in the sauce and fresh avocado slices on top, the shrimp tostada was basically shrimp and sauce on a floppy corn tortilla. As we finished what we were able to eat, we requested the check from our server. We had to ask 3 times for the check due to the language barrier. When she finally brought the check, we were dumbfounded! 2 drinks and 3 small appetizers and the check came out to $96, without a tip. The 8oz drinks were $15 each, you can go to another local Mexican restaurant and get a grande margarita for less than $10. Overall we were ok with the food, but the prices will prevent us from ever going back. If they don’t make some changes, I don’t see them being...
Read moreMy daughters friend was raving about this place so we were excited to try it out. When we walked in, we can tell that the ac is not working because it was super hot inside the restaurant and we were sweating alot while eating. The server we got could barely speak english but she was very nice. I ordered one of the seafood plates and a mango margarita. I would say that the squid in dish tasted very weird. It was a bit slimy and I dont think squid is supposed to taste slimy. The rice smelled bad and tasted terrible like it was sour rotten. The drink I got had a weird after taste to it and all 3 water that we ordered had some red particles in it. I really wanted to like this place but sadly we are not coming back. Its been atleast a week since we went but Until now I could feel the slimy disgusting texture of the squid in my mouth and it makes me cringe so bad on top of the food being bad, it was very pricey as well. Then when we asked for our check, the waitress had a group of her friends drinking at the bar and after we waved at her to give us the check one of the guys even glared at us because we called the waitress over while they were hanging out with her. Sorry to inconvenience their party but...
Read morehonestly, we have never been here to this restaurant or even tried it but we walked in this afternoon at 9:40. We checked the hours. It said they closed at 10 so we walked in and they told us that they were closed so we asked them why the website said they close at 10 they proceeded to say that the kitchen closes at 9:30 and are no longer accepting orders past this time, we asked for the manager she came in with a bad attitude and proceeded to sit us down and have the audacity to send a waiter to tell us that they were only serving cold dishes because they close at 9:30 no bad commentary to the waiter or the hostess, both very respectful and polite. super bad promotion to the restaurant and bad service from the manager. because if the website says you guys close at 10 PM that means the kitchen is supposed to close at 10 PM as well drove 35 minutes to try it. so personally haven’t tried the food won’t be back due to customer service and lack of communication through the...
