I love the Iced Mint Mojito Coffee! You can't come to a Philz without trying one! Heck, you can't come to SF without trying Philz period! The Burlingame Philz is a little more cramped compared to other locations that I’ve visited but they make up for it in the seatings. Downtown Burlingame is a great location and perfect if you also want to get lunch or do shopping nearby. The only downside is parking and feeding the meter. I was only able to use quarters for my meter.
Philz has their production system down; there's always a clearly-indicated line to order coffee! The service was friendly and quick as well! No wonder Philz hires baristas to match their culture.
You place your order with the barista first. Pay at the cashier and then pick up your drinks from the same barista that you placed the order with. Like I said; I only get the Iced Mint Mojito Coffee. You can choose the dark, medium or light roast. I prefer it lightly sweetened...

It's a pretty tiny space in the lovely downtown area of burlingame. Nice place to roam around.
This branch though small and busy, I can find a spot most of the times. They have more pick up orders than people like me stlettling in. Outlets accessibility and wifi are good.
I love being a regular in coffee shops with the perks you get sometimes from friendly baristas 😅.
So far, I can't claim philz generally as an inviting place to be regular (working from). Franchises usually depend a lot on individual baristas. Philz got nice habits for customers nonetheless and this branch got some cool baristas.
Wish they have loyalty perks...
Read moreFeels too much like the not so nice areas around Berkeley. Hip and cool, but not so consumer friendly unless you want some one to have control over your drink. No dibs and dabs of milk or sweetener...it's all under the domain of the individual barista. I don't know, but some days my taste buds want more sweetener...or cream than other days. I like to play with my drink and test it out. Now I will rant about Berkeley itself. With a couple of family members who are graduates of that fine institution....as well as, ancestors who either taught or attended there....why has Berkeley not expanded into the not so nice areas and helped clean things up? Homeless parks, graffiti, etc. Surely the "cream of the crop" attendees might like to leave their local community...
