Studio Shop Gallery — Attraction in Burlingame

Previously purchased unique, quality, artisan ready made frames for special gifts from The Studio. Yesterday went in to have not high monetary value, but high sentimental value wedding picture of grandparents set in customer owned frame. I had the pleasure of working with owner Janet Benson. Learned that The Studio Shop is THE oldest existing retailer in Burlingame, handed down generations. As I waited for my frame assembly being done in back room, had time to notice the detailed, museum quality and vast range (contemporary, traditional, historical) of selection The Studio Shop had to offer. It was evident this is the place to come for your highly valued (monetary or sentimental) framing needs. There is good reason pride in artisan craftsmanship has withstood the test of time. I recently purchased 2 paintings for my home from the Studio Shop Gallery. Julie was terrific to work with. She really tried to get a sense of my taste and budget and showed me several paintings, all of which were lovely. The shop suggested I "try them out" in our home to see them in the room they will live and with different light during the day. It was a great way to fall in love with the paintings. In the gallery I was having a difficult time deciding but once I got them all home it became obvious which one belonged in my spaces. Julie and her team came an got the ones we didn't chose.

I first met the staff at the Studio Shop when I was doing some framing almost 20 years ago! Over the years I have purchased a number of paintings and continued to have pieces framed.
