Wow. Where do I even begin?! I haven’t been this blown away by a restaurant in years. My s/o and I are on the road traveling (all the way from Louisville, KY) and we found this spot online. We are near the end of our trip, fly out insanely early tomorrow, and have had a little bit of a hard time navigating through new Covid protocols while in town, but we finally found a spot with outdoor dining, open late enough for us to get a good meal before bed. Upon arriving, we noticed a man bussing a table outside. He saw us walk up and greeted us on the patio. A super nice woman (I believe her name is Margarita) also greeted us immediately following, but told us her card machines were down — that they were accepting cash only. Sadly, we had no cash, so we thanked her and turned around to leave when she stopped us and said “it’s okay! Come in and eat! You can come back another time.” So surprised by her reaction, we told her we were from out of town, so we wouldn’t be able to come back as we fly out early in the morning. She insisted still that we come in to eat, and told her staff behind the counter to give us whatever we ordered. Watching her do this, without even a little hesitation, was so humbling. We were completely taken aback by her immense kindness. Knowing we can’t even repay them another time, because we aren’t from here, she still insisted we come in and eat with a smile on her face.
Now - if that wasn’t amazing enough, we continued to be wowed. After ordering, we chose a seat on the patio, and a nice gentleman came over to ask if he could get us waters. The service was so fast, our food probably arrived within 10-15 minutes of being seated. We had some of the BEST pasta (see photos). The food speaks for itself, and the service was top notch. Not one table around us sat dirty. As soon as people left, they were cleaned. As soon as we finished our food, a gentleman came and quickly cleared our plates.
If you’re considering visiting this place, please take this as your sign. You have to. Their food was great, service was even better, and the family aspect of their restaurant radiated from every corner. If we lived here, it would be our new regular spot. I know when we come back to California, we absolutely will visit.
Thank you, thank you to our friends at Crepevine (Burlingame Ave) for the great hospitality and doing us a favor on a late evening amidst some long travel days. We are...
Read moreI don't usually write Google Reviews, but I've been going to Crepevine since I was little, and there really isn't a place that can match it.
Food: There's a great variety of choices, from breakfast to brunch to dinner, with huge portion sizes and very good value. They're really great with cross-contamination and any changes, and there are plenty of options for a variety of food restrictions. I really like the thai crepe and the santa fe, they have great swedish pancakes, and their dessert crepes are phenomenal. My friend swears by their scrambles but there are just so many other things I like that I've never tried one yet. Huge fan of the bankok salad as well.
Service: This is the real highlight in my opinion. Everyone who works at the Burlingame Crepevine is friendly, attentive, and hard-working, but they really do go the extra mile. I have immune issues and it was really hard to transition back to eating out amidst the pandemic, even outside. The staff took everything super seriously, did not compromise in their precautions, and made me feel safe - there was an entire year where Crepevine was the only place I ate outside of home. Gio knows all the regulars and is so kind to everyone. They're all so welcoming - I take all my friends here when they visit. Breakfast here with my father is one of the highlights of my week. When we used to go with my grandfather, they'd ensure he had a seat to sit in and could order from the table as he couldn't always stand in line - we didn't even have to ask. Service is always fast, even with the line out the door - and I think the line is a testament to how good the food is.
Atmosphere: It's a wonderful family cafe. There are a lot of regulars in during the morning, and it's nice to see familiar faces. There are great kid-friendly options, and they're also...

This was the 1st time I’ve ever been to this restaurant. Parking was a nightmare and every inch of this restaurant was filled to the brim… My friend chose this restaurant for our GalPal day… Noise level was extremely high.
I still in a long line waiting for the gals to show up. One canceled z& the other ran late ⏰…
This same gentleman handed me a menu, which I was grateful for…
The only crepes I’ve ever had was fruity crepes. This time, I ordered the Florentine crepes with a bowl 🥣 of oatmeal…
Due to the extreme loud noise, the cashier didn’t hear the oatmeal part. So when I received my food without the oatmeal, which made me sad. My GalPal got a hold of the gentleman who was serving us, to inform him that my oatmeal was missing…
I did a double look on my receipt and noticed that I wasn’t charged for oatmeal. He immediately stated that he’ll get me my oatmeal. I tried to give him my card to pay for the oatmeal, however he refused.
So we continued eating 🍽… the Florentine crêpe was ok 👌🏼, not particularly wowing my taste buds. When I finally got my oatmeal, I was shocked 😳 to see how wonderfully made it was with milk 🥛… I’ve only had oatmeal made with water 💦.
Every single bite of my oatmeal, I made the yummy (Mmmm) sound… ALL the flavors exploded in my mouth 👄!!! I couldn’t help myself!!! Every bite of this oatmeal the yummy sound followed!!!
By the time I remembered to take a photo, I’d eaten 1/2 of the food.
For the oatmeal, I gave 5 stars ⭐️… for the Florentine, long time, and crowdedness, I gave 3 1/2 stars ⭐️. Gave it an average of 4 stars total. Which I’m my opinion is awesome 🤩…
Now I know not to come on the weekends, for I like to hear my conversations...
