Absolutely rude upon walking in! Went to the bar where we intended to sit and order a glass or two of wine and a possible appetizer. The owner/manager with pure disrespect and a bit of an attitude told us rudely to have a seat and then she would bring us a menu!!! Absolutely shocked as we sat down in not to mention an EMPTY bar on a Friday night at 7:45. Literally not a person inside. I would NOT recommend this place! It’s obviously empty for a reason! I cannot believe how all this happened in a minute of walking in! You would have thought we walked in 2 minutes before closing! Think again before visiting this place for a few glasses of wine and an appetizer! If the option for a zero star rating was available that’s what I would rate it! This may be a harsh rating, but it needs to be known as it is a customer facing industry. I don’t expect anything out of this, but for maybe the management to understand that perception is everything we kindly walked out and left. Mentioning...
Read moreA friend of mine and I typically meet in Burlington as a halfway point. She loves wine and recommended this place. They have a wide selection of meats and cheeses to go with your wine, and offer sandwiches/flatbreads too for a bit of heavier fare. We shared the 2 meats 2 cheese platter which came with grapes, nuts, olives, prosciutto, smoked salmon, havarti cheese, and Gouda with crackers and baguette (but you can choose the meats and cheeses that you want). I loved the wine flight! You can even build your own. The staff was super attentive to us and brought us our food and drinks in a timely manner. It's definitely a smaller place and on nice days, the patio feels up quickly as there are only 5 tables set up. I highly recommend this place to meet and catch up with friends. It's a very calming atmosphere and often makes you forget you're in the city! Also, it's right in Alamance Crossing so there are plenty of other restaurants and shopping at...
Read moreCork and Cow is a wonderful wine bar. Ownership changed last summer. The new owner, Tammy has come aboard with lots of new ideas and changes. Her reception to patrons is warm and inviting. Her staff are all personable and friendly.
The food at Cork and Cow is all scrumptious. I have tried every dish on the menu in the three years I have been going there. Every single item on the menu is delicious.
Tammy has brought trivia and music to Cork and Cow. A guaranteed fun experience. There are also dessert and drink specials each week. There is more to this wine bar than the menu and one visit lends.
This spot is a hidden gem that will never disappoint.
If you dine on wine tasting days, Tuesday and Wednesdays more often than not, you will need to make a...
