Haymaker Bun Company Burlington — Restaurant in Burlington

I have made special trips for the amazing selection of sweet and savory buns at Haymaker. Particularly excited this family owned business is in the South End at the Soda Plant. I also love their first location in Middlebury. You don’t want to snooze on getting a fresh bun or have a breakfast sandwich made with their buns. I enjoy their coffee and many other items they offer. Service is friendly, prompt and food is well executed.

The buns are small for what they cost and just ok - pretty soft and they're gone very quickly. You would need at least two to make a small meal. We ordered one sweet and one savory and wanted to share them with my friend so I asked the person that helped us to please cut them in half. It was like I asked for her first born. Then the tip screen proceeds to ask me to tip for her "service". I recommend the pastries at Brio or the biscuits at Queen City Cafe and will not...

Always great dine in service, but when ordering takeout or delivery I am very put off by the exorbitant gratuities and fees.

To place a $35 order for delivery, after a $14 delivery fee and $9 driver tip, plus tax, it would be nearly $65!

Then the same order to pick up, they charge a $7 gratuity AND a $9 tip. I’m all for tipping but $16 on a $35 seems very excessive when there’s no actual customer...
